In February I generated around 600 in option premium on stock I am going to hold anyway. If it gets called away at a price I am happy with great. In the meantime the call premium can fund my silly little side plays like hgraf or degenerate gambling like 0dte SPY options. Either way the 600 was "free" money to my smooth brain and like I said if it had exercised yesterday I'd have locked the price at 70 a share and not participated in the 5 dollar drop that happened today.

Today I really wish the person that bought my delta options had exercised them yesterday when we were above the strike price :banghead:

Obviously it caps the upside but if you can generate income along the way selling out of the money calls at a price you'd be happy to sell the stock for anyway to generate "rent" from your holdings.

Do any of you own stock and sell weekly call options to generate weekly income? I am considering doing this with 10-12k of my roth portfolio to slowly generate cash for trading in a tax free way. I am asking Chat GPT and it likes HIMS and MARA as potential buy and hold for a year stocks with high options volume and analyst expectations of at least 30% stock price increase by the end of the year.

VIX options in 2020. It was the stupidest trade ever but I was lucky.

He lost to osu and Michigan as double digit dogs for most of those top 10 and top 25 losses. 2 programs that spent a lot more on football than PSU. I’ll be happy for the same results in the ACC although some of the hires with the budget he has are head scratchers.

I piled in to the meta trade in my play account.
Jan 26 800 strike for 9.40
I am bagholding Path Dec 25 16 calls bought at 2.46 and Dec 25 17.5 strikes bought at 2.51. I made 100% on some calls on the run up and thought I'd be slick and get back in when it ticked down.
Last position is Jan 26 FI calls at 135. they were .45 and mostly a wild gamble to see if they'd bounce a little and let me triple my money. Spoiler alert they did not

My wife keeps saying she wants baggier jeans. I keep telling her that I want her to have tighter jeans and that baggy jeans are for fat people. We'll see how long I can convince her to buck the trend.
