re: Acadiana Flag

If it’s “not a rivalry,” then it’s funny how LSU fans are always the first ones to bring UL up. Call it a frat-boy rivalry, a faculty rivalry, or whatever makes you feel better but the obsession clearly isn’t coming from our side. And yes, most people in Acadiana like LSU. Nobody at UL is pretending the resources or boosters are comparable. Supporting the school you actually graduated from doesn’t require pretending UL and LSU are fighting for the same spot. The only weird part is how threatened LSU fans get by UL simply existing under the name Louisiana. If UL was really as “little” as you claim, you wouldn’t feel the need to keep reminding everyone.

Why should it matter? It shouldn’t. I don’t dislike LSU I just support my school, and that’s it.

Most of my dad’s side graduated from LSU, but I chose to support a different team because that’s where I graduated from. That’s all there is to it.

We like Louisiana! You do not have to like it take if up with the administration at UL (L).

ULM does not have a problem why should you?

This is the origin of the flag and the term Acadiana

The flag of Acadiana was designed in 1965 by Dr. Thomas Arceneaux to promote Cajun heritage, featuring a gold star (Our Lady of Assumption), silver tower (Spain), and fleur-de-lis (France). The term "Acadiana" originated from a 1963 KATC-TV3 typo that added an 'a' to "Acadian".

ULM agreed that UL could use Louisiana, and ULM chose to brand itself as ULM. When both schools updated their identities, UL (L) pursued the Louisiana athletic brand, while ULM explicitly opted to keep the ULM name and mark. Because of that decision, national outlets like ESPN, CBS, and the NCAA adopted Louisiana for UL (L) and ULM for Monroe. That’s why the scorebugs look the way they do today each school is labeled according to the identity it selected.

What am I doing? I said the last post I made would be my last post!

Funny how UL using “Louisiana” offends you more than it affects you. That’s not our inferiority complex that’s your’s.

Is it true that LSU baseball players didn’t have the sportsmanship or decency to shake hands after the game? Why be so offended?

What i was afraid of. My last response

You asked for an explanation, so I gave you one. That’s not “deflecting,” that’s literally answering your question.

And the “we matter more, you’re beneath us” line just proves the point. If Louisiana didn’t get under TSAB’s skin, y’all wouldn’t be making graphics, throwing jabs, and celebrating an “extra L” like it’s some grand statement. That’s not how you treat someone who’s beneath you that’s how you treat someone you’re clearly bothered by.

Okay? This is just an example

By posting this, TSAB is trying to dunk on Louisiana by saying:

• “Can’t forget about the extra L,” which is clearly a slight at the UL (Louisiana) reference.
• “Don’t forget who’s in charge.”
• “We matter more, you’re beneath us.”

This is an official LSU Softball post.

Y’all are clearly taking a shot at the “Louisiana” name, which shows it bothers TSAB more than you want to admit.

I personally do not care i think its great!! You ask for an explanation .

We can say the same with TSAB, by saying we should know our place, and posting things like this shows the opposite.

Without getting into some long discussion, to UL fans y’all are just another school. I don’t follow LSU and have no interest in them. I’m a fan of my school, and to us, y’all are simply The School Across the Basin.

The School Across the Basin
Yes the LSU players and coaches are the victims!

We have friends of the program donating money to OLOL to get out of paying taxes. The money donated was for little kids, older people etc. to get medical treatment, but we are going to use that money to pay players!

Also we are not going to hold LSU to the same standard as any other University that play sports in the NCAA. We will cheat so we can have some type of edge because we can not win by playing by the rules.

That makes it right ? So basically LSU can not run a successful program without cheating that is what I hear!
Yeah he took a basketball program and corrupted it! Seriously y’all are advocating cheating, stealing, tax invasion, breaking of NCAA rules and regulation etc.

• He was caught on a telephone call paying players. Probably the whole team is probably paid off

• Friends of the program are using charitable organization ( a hospital) to not pay taxes, which in turn is going to pay off student athletes.

• Which means it is not just the basketball program that is tainted, but the entire LSU sports program.

• Which includes a FBI investigation for tax fraud

• Which breaks the NCAA rules and warrants an investigation

• Which in turn 95% of people on this board support cheating, and instead of getting rid of the wrong doers you advocating getting rid of the person who is trying to hold the coaches accountable.

• Good Luck in y’all future endeavors.

You can clearly see the glove touching the leg. There is no space between the glove and her pants, and the glove is actually bending as she is pressing it on her pants leg.

You can clearly see her hand reaching for the plate, and she is not touching the plate
