No idea if it will be well attended or not, but we are in Orlando and all we have seen are Tiger fans. Zero Louisville fans. Staying downtown.
A lot of us are making the best of two worlds, hanging on the beaches in Daytona or Tampa-St Pete-Clearwater and taking the short drive into Orlando in the morning. We are in St Pete Beach.

Regarding the poster saying Louisville fans don't travel in large numbers, this is actually a false statement. Louisville usually takes 25 to 30,000 fans to bowl games. Ask Florida fans about our numbers in New Orleans at the Sugar Bowl.
That being said, there won't be our typical bowl crowd tomorrow. Louisville plays IU in Indianapolis tomorrow in basketball and the Canseco Fieldhouse is split 50/50 between the two fan bases. The 10,000 or so Louisville fans travelling to Indy bought their tickets months ago for this regional interest game (1 hr drive seperation between the two campuses.)

The subject line is a little misleading don't you think? Yes they were at a party. One of the football players was trying to break up a fight when the shots occurred. Not a whole lot being released right now. Probably at the advice of the detectives doing the investigation.

In OUR lifetime, Louisville has won the Fiesta Bowl, Orange Bowl AND the Sugar Bowl. Louisville likes doing this to their bowl opponents ----> :spank:

At least I know UK is a football cripple. Card fans do not seem to realize they are a football cripple as well. Bama lost that Sugar Bowl to the Utes and went on to win 3 MNC's while the Utes went in the toilet.
I see the same happening to the Cards so you should see that as a good omen to the Gators
In your dreams bud. In your dreams. Did the Utes return almost everybody from that team? No? Well Louisville does. You Kentucky fans are just beside yourselves over Louisvilles success. Just be satisfied that the SEC let's you celebrate the winter months and accept the fact that Kentucky football will never achieve what Louisville is doing. Its. Okay. :moon:

Plus we've taken several recruits that Charlie Strong wanted, even coming off of our 2-10 season and your Sugar Bowl
It's called playing time. Kentucky can offer that. Louisville returns most of it's starters from last years Sugar Bowl championship and to be Juniors to boot.
Louisville also doesn't have many holes to fill with this years class. The following season is when we should see a bump up in recruiting as a result of the Sugar Bowl and possibly another BCS bowl this year.

Cheese Grits...what the he!! dude  Attendance doesn't = championships dude. If it did, Michigan, Tennessee, Ohio State and Penn State would be the only ones winning national titles.
I noticed that you left off what you guys averaged in attendance last year in Commonsmell Stadium. Would you be so nice to report those figures here? :spank:

Whatever. Our facility upgrades will put CWS and Rupp on par with yours... with no corporate sponsor bush league shite.
No it won't. Lipstick on a pig. Your university is so daggum broke they can't even afford building something new. Last resort was to do some cough cough...."upgrades".

Someone doesn't know what flagship means.
How on earth this has turned to Flagship I dunno LOL. I can say this. Everyone has seen those car bumper stickers that say "My child can beat up your honor roll child" or words to that effect. Well that defines the University of Louisville to UK. UK may be the "flagship school" in our state, but we beat them up all the time in various sports. :doublebird:

Beat Rutgers consistently and we'll talk.
Louisville has won the last 3 againt Rutgers. Just saying.....

Someone's about to be brought back down to earth.
It could just be you CatFan81. In all seriousness, Louisville just swept #1 Vandy (according to the final Baseball America top 25 rankings). Beating MSU isn't that fathomable. Beating LSU however would be a tall task.

The only reason louisville has had a decent run the past couple seasons in anything other than basketball, is the fact that osu has been on sanctions and the recruits that wanna stay in ohio area cross the street to louisville. Now that osu can again return to their lucrative recruiting practices expect the cards to fall back below average in everything except bball, where they can still pluck the second hand kentucky recruits that dont make the grade for the big blue
I can count on one hand how many Ohio recruits we have on our team. The majority of our kids traditionally have come from Florida.

PS, are any of you going to Omaha? Since you are big fans and all. CAF has already sent out the email
Not me unfortunately. Working at a hospital and already have taken off for the Sugar Bowl and the Final Four....I've pretty much exhausted my vacation time. But trust you/me we will have a strong representation there from Card Nation.

Lousville is non-flagship, city school in an existing SEC footprint. So other than a nice run, what is the SEC missing out on exactly?
Man a lot of you are hung up on this "flagship" school crap. Who cares? The conferences are there for athletics and Louisville holds it's own thank you very much. Btw this post was not created by a Louisville fan. Personally I think we fit much better in the ACC and happier to be there than in the SEC who only cares about football and to a lesser extent baseball. The ACC is more "well rounded".
quote:
Our 2-1 win over vandy drew a 6.1 overnight and 11 share for ESPN. Compare and contrast that to the NBA finals that drew a 6.3 and 10 share
. The baseball game peaked at 8.8 and 15 share in the final inning, while the NBA finals peaked at 8.3 and 12 share in the second half
Now that's impressive. Dayuummm.

UL played in the Sugar Bowl and they only sold 54,000 tickets for the game. Do you not see the real issue here on why folks will not schedule the Cards? Top SEC schools play big time programs for ratings and at this point Card football is low demand
Hate to burst your little bubble but Louisville brought the fans. Estimates of 30-35,000 came down to New Orleans. If you want to point blame at the attendance, point fingers at your own conference bretheren. I mean really....who only sells 7,000 to a bowl game?
Regarding ratings, the Sugar Bowl did just fine and some of ESPN's highest rated Thursday night games involved Louisville.

You know what's sad? You Cards fans have such a huge case of little dick syndrome that you sign up on a message board, for a conference that you have never and will never be a part of, just because you see Kentucky fans talking shite about little brother.
If we really didn't bother you, you would have just ignored it. Never in my life have I signed up on a Louisville board to try to defend my team against your ilk. It's simply not necessary. I know what my school is.
CatFan, it's because we don't feel the need to post false lies about UK on every message board forum created on earth like many of your fans do. Some of us just feel obliged to post facts. There's a difference in being a fan and a fanatic, and sadly you guys....in larger percentages take fanaticism to all time low levels. There really is no need in telling everyone that your fans take up 50% of Louisville. None. But you feel like it's your god given right to try to make your selves superior to everyone else. I'ts darn right fun to throw statistics out proving you wrong. :spank:

Louisville Invades Rupp Arena. Joe B Hall said it was as loud as any game he has EVER experienced at Rupp Arena.

Here is a pic outside YUM and it sure looks like a lot of Blue in your home arena?
That picture is actually of the INSIDE of the arena lobby and it was in 2012 when the NCAA Tourney 1st/2nd round games was there. But of course, UK fans had to wreak havoc on the new arena causing damage from their jealousy:

All I said is how convenient for uk fan to go back to that final year when we were playing bad basketball....and had for several years to try to support her argument that we averaged more than 500 which yes...we did his final year but other than that, we averaged capacity or darn near it.
Dude, don't go bashing Denny on here
Denny = 2 NC's
Ricky = 1 NC
