I have to agree, just did mine a few weeks ago, had been 3 years, almost nothing came out in the solution.
I ran into something very similar with my bad boy mower. After a little internet sleuthing - I found a relatively common problem that a lot of these mowers share.
The trigger wire for the solenoid can have a voltage drop when cranking, causing it to not trigger the solenoid reliably. Dirty key contacts, poor wiring from the OEM, corroded contacts, etc.
Try running a small jumper from the battery +12 to the trigger input on the mower and see if it starts reliably.
If so, you can add a relay to the trigger / start signal to clean this up.

penfed.org - not local, but certainly accessible.
Get some chickens, they disappear quickly.

Probably a little oil seeping past the piston rings when at rest. My mower does it as well. Never noticed significant consumption of oil though. I think you'll be fine.
Do what CFOtiger says. No need to complicate it.

Look at the strainer / pickup tube and check valve in the fuel tank. Have had similar issues as you and this was the culprit.

Pretty interesting site, incredibly old. Worth spending a few hours there and doing the guided tour.
The campground for RVs is about 20 minutes away from the park.

Make sure your hydraulic fluid isn't low.

I had a boat that got termites.
Took it to the landfill towards Donaldsonville and they picked it off the trailer with a forklift. Was very easy.

Spray adhesive.
Mete SFT - at least that's what my wife likes!
I've got a small pond, about 1/3 - 1/2 acre. About 8' deep at the deepest - holds a ton of fish and brings in a lot of wildlife. Get an aerator and give it a shot.
Bought my last set of truck batteries from these guys - see if they have one that would fit. AGM batteries for a very fair price.

Same here. The EPS carry sights make a ton of sense for CC, and will bolt right up to the MC9. Very happy with mine.
