Correct. Cigarettes and that smoke are a huge part of premature aging. ITs why we as a society look much younger due to much less smoke. Even when you take the higher obesity rate into account today, we still look far younger than earlier generations.

Everyone hates this guy yet the GOP and Trump keep pushing him. Now we are going to lose formerly red Ohio to the democrats.
Let me be clear: hindus and muslims are incompatible with America. One group is here to grift away our resources and the other is here to convert us to islam.
And yet the Republican party keeps pushing this diversity narrative and it is destroying us. Trump in particular has been disappointing. He is not doing what we voted for.
We need a new party leader. One who is mean and does not care. It damn sure isnt Vance. We all know he will flood this country with indians.

Return to Lonesome Dove and the short lived tv series Lonesome Dove: the series (AKA known as Lonesome Dove The outlaw years) were pretty bad. McMurtry had no involvement. They were written by the tv studio. Avoid both of these.
Streets of Laredo was good as long as you treat it as a standalone novel and Miniseries. Continuity errors and the goofy Lorena Pea Eye pairing make it hard to swallow for fans of the original. But taken on its own, it is pretty good. It is much darker than the original.
Dead Mans Walk was a good book and I enjoyed it. The miniseries was just ok. Some parts were miscast, especially the young Gus. But it is still enjoyable. The ending was silly though.

Or at least slow it down alot? Much of what is being imported from india is programmers. Companies use the visa to avoid paying American citizens. Both Trump and Musk praise and use the visa for cheap workers. They will never slow it down and have said so publicly. No republican or democrat will. That is the cold hard truth.
The only thing that will is something cheaper. And that would be our boogeyman AI.
Who might just turn out to be our dear friend in the long run.

Yeah I am wondering about this too. Kids addicted to phones and tablets is one of the top worries of parents so this topic is timely.
Im guessing at the end after some fighting, Woody gives a speech about "balance time between the toys and the tablet" and they are all friends again.
I doubt Disney has the balls to show the parents throwing the ipad out the window. Would be truly awesome though if they did.

The conflict is here for a reason.
Half on this board are all in on the replacement of legacy film/book/tv characters with someone other than straight white males. Because white people are the root of all evil you see. They cheer it on and gaslight those who oppose by saying "its just a movie why do you care?"
The other half push back against the studios constantly doing this. This isn't about this film in particular, it is an ongoing fight against the erasure of a culture.
Also, why don't the studios do more films set in sub-Saharan Africa and explore its history and myths? Wy must they take legends and myths from largely European history and alter it? This does a disservice to both groups and the truth overall.

That is no longer the case. Two things can be true at once: 1) they have gotten wealthier and remain the most popular sport. and 2) they aren't the cultural force the entire country wraps itself in anymore.

Making more money yes. More viewers is debatable. Given the massive population increase in the USA over the last 40 years, the sport's popularity should be MUCH higher than they are now.
Kids are not as interested in sports these days. And immigrants (who represent most of the population increase) like soccer not "American football".
The NFL is popular and always will be regardless of its politics. But it is nothing like it was years ago when the whole culture seemed to orbit it. It does not have the same cultural impact it once did. IF they aren't careful they could move into niche territory like other sports have recently.

The rest of you aren't upset about it because you agree with the goal the studios are pushing. Which is to rewrite history to make it more favorable to "minorities" (which is ridiculous considering white people are the worlds real minority by far).
Almost every single tv show and movie are doing this and have been for the last 15-20 years. Every year they get more aggressive with it. Constantly swapping out white characters for POC, male characters change to female, straight to gay, etc.
What is extra disappointing in this case is we thought Nolan was above such nonsense. That he would put the integrity of his story first. Clearly he has changed his mind on that subject or had it changed for him by the studio.
