They do make the CWS more than any other team I'm pretty sure. I think they statistically appear every other year, or just under that. It's odd to have come up empty like they have as many as as they do, but at least they're not Florida State. I think those guys are like 0–24 or 0–25 in years making the CWS without winning it all.

I have not seen any Clemson fans on here in a long time. Did they finally gave up coming here because they aren't welcome here anymore?

They stopped being staples in the playoffs when NIL started, and last year was Dabo's worst season in over 15 years. It's suddenly not so fun to come talk shite.

Say what you want about our Kansas poster. The dude has like 100K posts and doesn't back down no matter how bad a season is in football or basketball.

You say this amongst criticism like it's a bad thing, lol. That clearly should have always been the case. Regardless of how you perceive them, that's prescient and only serves to give them more credit.

Seems a little harsh to me. They are 4-2 in conference and it’s still early.

He did specify on the road. And they're 1–2, with the win and one of the losses being against shite teams. Georgia is good (so far) but we've been blown the frick out both times.

Popcorn Hog has always been my favorite.

Saban won with the bagman system for one of the most decorated football programs in history. As soon as NIL, playoff expansion, and transfer portal hit, Nick dipped.

The fact that he was able to do it seven times and come within a count hair of doing it several more times is otherworldly levels of operation, regardless of the method.

It was glaringly obvious to me for years that Mike Leach was autistic. He was autistic in a way that he couldn't hide even if he wanted to, but I'm glad he never seemed to try. College football was better with his personality in it.

I don't think Spurrier is autistic. I think he's just a good-natured a-hole.

Lets see what Kiffin does by the time he 65 years of age. BTW, Kiffin is only 50.

This flex has a double edge. Kiffin was an NFL head coach before Cignetti landed his first HC gig at a D2 school. He's 15 years younger, but had a 15 year head start on the FBS level. Cignetti has been a P4 coach for two whole years, and both years were at a school considered impossible to win at.

So, what's Lane's excuse for wasting such a head start?

That's Oregon State, not Oregon.
That's not half bad. I prefer magnanimous and hauberk as words, personally.

Is there a particular reason your school doesn't claim this title? They have every right to.

Notre Dame not winning the pop tart bowl did deeper damage to their fanbase than anticipated.

The bitch is Stanning for a conference his team is not even in, and continually refuses to join because they think they're too good for it
Georgia had a case in 2023. Florida State was a 13–0 power five conference champion and got shafted. "Just win" is the mantra. Take matters into your own hands and you don't have to worry about chaos or another team losing. Well, they won 13 out of 13 games and got treated like they were a G5. I don't really disagree with your point, because Georgia DID show up when they had every reason not to, but a team like 2025 Notre Dame is boycotting a bowl because they're a bunch of prima donnas. 2023 FSU may have had prima donnas, but they needed to stand up for themselves too.

We all saw it coming when you had four playoff spots with five major conferences. There was going to be a year when the top team of each conference was firing on all cylinders and someone was going to get left out because the NCAA needs an EpiPen every time the concept of being proactive and thinking ahead are presented. I'm just shocked it took a whole decade.

bet there aren’t 10 people alive who associate Indiana with potatoes. This is just stupid.

The joke is Indiana is so nondescript and overlooked, that they could be mistake for Idaho at a glance. Not sure how everyone is missing the real joke here.
Iowa State was 6–7 that year. They lost the same weekend as Alabama, to a team that would finish with a losing record. Alabama lost to probably the best college football team I've ever seen to not win a NC, and they lost by three points. I seriously think 2011 LSU would beat 80% of the BCS era national champs, people forget how crazy that team and their schedule was.

And then OSU didn't play a quality, ranked Oklahoma team for a second time because the Big 12 did away with conference championship games. That extra win would have eliminated every neutral argument Alabama had over Oklahoma State.

Also, the SEC was undefeated in BCS-era back doors, and the Big 12 constantly laid eggs. They had Nebraska undeservingly getting the nod in 2001 and then getting demolished by Miami. They had Oklahoma get in over undefeated Auburn in 2004, just to lose by like 35 points. And although I wouldn't call it a backdoor, 2003 Oklahoma got the benefit of the doubt over USC and lost in that NCG, too. The Big 12 used to get a sickening amount of leeway.

Meanwhile, 2007 LSU gets in through last minute chaos and shenanigans with two losses and ends up winning. 2011 Alabama removed all doubt in their rematch.

It's hilarious to me how much people hate this Silverfield hire.

Jim Mora is #5 on that list. Got fired from UCLA and pulled off back-to-back 9-win seasons at UConn. That elevated him that much? #6 is Mark Carney at Kent State, who actually coached at Kent State this whole year and only went 5–7 in his first-ever season as a head coach. They're both ahead of fricking Matt Campbell at #7. Did these people even try?

I understand why people aren't over the moon about Ryan Silverfield. The consensus was we needed an earthquake of a hire more than we ever have. But Silverfield went 8–4 this year. He started out 8–1 and began to slip suspiciously after it was rumored he'd started making contact with Arkansas. He went 11–2 the year before that. 10–3 the year before that. So I give a little credence to the Arkansas distraction rumors given his strong start and his upward trend. He's never had a losing season. The doom and gloom around him right out the gate is embarrassing.
I think Bert's actually slimmed down a bit to pre-Arkansas fatness. Half of his weight gain was alcoholism.
Did anyone throw the egg that your football team laid?

We had eight winnable games THIS year.
I swear to God, the south handled integration more gracefully than Notre Dame being asked to join a conference. They don't have that kind of pull anymore. frick Rudy and that hunchback.
