re: Crenshaw is crying his eye out over lack of GOP endorsements

Yeah that entire thing with Eddie started well before Dan’s reputation started taking major blows but obviously was a telling sign on just how questionable his character was. I mean Eddie went to Dan as a Team guy to Team guy for help and Dan not only blew him off but literally questioned his entire motive in the first place literally stabbing Eddie in the back. I think Goggins even had issues with him as well.
re: Looking for some new stretching pre round

Are you looking for a right before you tee off stretching routine or something to get you loose before you start on the range before you play? If it’s the drive up to the parking lot with 10 minutes before tee time scenario, I have a heavy rope that I swing about 20 times that I focus on making a good shoulder turn with a good finish. You can get it into a pretty good back and forth rhythm. Warnibg though, it does look like I’m about to beat a dog with it so I do it in the parking lot but it honestly does a real good job getting me loose when I can’t get to the range. However I almost will cancel a golf game if I can’t warmup on the range. I lift and also train BJJ daily so I live in a perpetual state of being tight so if I can’t get an hour of range work beforehand it is a literal crapshoot if I can even make solid contact until the back nine.

I think what we don’t understand is that some cultures don’t want democracy. We thought the Iraqis would welcome us in and it would be Shangri-La after we removed Sadaam.
That in a nutshell is the amount of epic failure that went in to liberating that shite hole. Anybody with half a brain knew that about Iraq. Granted Sadaam was a special kind of evil but at least he kept things in check over there and that included all his neighbors as well. When we removed him, it became a free for all because they had no clue how to handle democracy and we had no clearcut plan post invasion to fix anything. It was like we have this country of goat herders with a ton of oil, what do we do now other than let Cheney and his minions count all the money they were making and then get the frick out? Iran seems like they could be more stable. I guess we will see.
re: Your reminder that a spotter can’t save you if you drop the bar

It’s not that I am against using clamps on a barbell. Nobody wants to hear a bunch of 45’s rattling together on a squat or deadlift plus in those lifts it is kinda unsafe to have heavy weights unsecured even though those old school iron 45’s clanking together meant someone was about to lift some heavy shite, but I digress (I can literally smell the chalk as I type this). On bench though it is dangerous. You might need to seesaw plates off of you if you fail and that’s not happening if you have clamps on the bar. The only way it is acceptable is if you have a spotter that doesn’t mind deadlifting it off your chest if you can’t get it to the rack.

Somebody up in Monroe used to have a bumper sticker that said Eat More Gaspergou on their truck bumper. It was maybe early 90’s. Always thought it was funny. Well we used to run nets back in those days up on Upper Ouachita when the back water would fall out in late Spring into early Summer. We mainly were after Opelousas cats and always would catch gou. Well we tried some mainly from remembering that bumper sticker. Like you said, prepared good it is actually not bad at all.

That's my garage. It is my default gym, has a TV, and a fridge loaded with White Cans. I go there and I actually have a study.

Any time I see a dude put clamps on a barbell for bench press which it looks like this kid did, I automatically assume he has no clue what the frick he is doing and is a l long shot to do the lift correctly or successfully.

Read another story about this guys rank. Chief Warrant Officer 5.
Said that there are more Generals than this grade.
Chief Warrant Officers are already like unicorns but a CWO 5 is mythical.
This guy probably had Generals already saluting him before this award.

You already knew the answer. If it tastes good it is probably not good for you.

2 acadia parish brokers i know sell ALL of their crawfish in TX
Crawfish farmer from Jennings used to run a crawfish place in Humble (NE side of Houston) for years. At least 20. He would only be open Wed-Sun and would make a trip back and forth every day with re-enforcement trips on the weekends at times. All he did was cater to his shack. He sold it to a buddy about 5 years ago but still supplied the crawfish. Always was packed until they started doing road construction in front of his place for like 2 years.
I find it kinda funny people from Louisiana think it is odd/strange that Texans eating crawfish would be popular when most of the smart people from Louisiana left that shitehole state years ago to come here and brought their culture with them. Then you add the rest of the population of the 4th biggest city in the US to the mix and then it becomes obvious.
We would literally run about 350 sections of extension cords to whatever outlet we could find that the homeowners wouldn’t bust us plugging into their outside outlet so we could power up our bonfire/camp site.
re: I-10 from Baytown to Beaumont early morning
Posted by MWP on 2/25/26 at 2:40 pm to Defenseiskey
Mont Belvieu has literally turned into a burb like Kingwood and the Woodlands where it is a commuter haven for those poor souls that have to make that drive into the H-town jungle. I bet very few exit into Baytown. If so that commute would be glorious.
Oddly enough the part of town we grew up in was right next to a swamp so we did a shite ton of camping starting on Friday nights which was literally slang for not having a curfew at all and staying out all night all weekend but at least we were smart about it. We actually did go through the motions of camping by getting the stuff and riding the 3 wheelers/dirt bikes into the woods to set up. After that it was riding back out to a vehicle and during the Fall it was to a football game or maybe a random field out in BFE. There was also the random parents out of town house party or we just rode our wheelers in the hood at night that usually ended up with the cops chasing us around. Thank the Lord there was no cell phones back then with tracking capabilities because I would have probably been grounded for life for the dumb shite we used to do,

Yep the inbound to Houston on 10 from the Eastside has gotten much worse with the growth of Mont Belvieu and now sadly Anahuac. Before long they will be building starter homes into Winnie.

I get up every morning to read my bible before I start the day.

Yep not really a good idea to go from that much usage to nothing. I would just restart and taper off gradually. I went from a can of snuff a day to a can a week to just a few dips a week. At that point quitting completely was a walk in the park.
I got one about a year ago. I pretty much used it everyday swinging either on the range or at home . For the most part it re-grooved my swing. It is one of the few golf training aids that works.

Not near as bad as the people who say anyway after every damn sentence. Literally drives me crazy. Almost as bad as hearing nails on a chalkboard.
I think the rice bucket is probably the best exercise for me as far as building forearms and inversely getting more grip strength for BJJ, which is my end goal. I also will do the dowel with the rope and weights and farmers walks as mentioned a few times a week as well but nothing has really improved my overall forearm development like doing about 10 minutes with a bucket of rice.

This. There isn't enough spice to make one taste good.
The fist clue to how rank they are is when you get ready to clean one. They smell really bad.
Been watching a self storage place get constructed not far from my house. It’s probably going on 7 months since they started the initial dirt work. It’s one of those multi-level air conditioned storage places with outside bigger units that are not. I can only imagine how upside down this place is for the owner after seeing how long and jacked up it has been in the construction process.
