re: Gameday Signs?

Posted by JoeSmooth on 10/3/16 at 10:44 pm to
I'm headed out there early Saturday with a variety of signs comparing hobbs to the "hey you guys" from The Goonies, and one of Butch crying on the field after the hail mary.

You are correct sir. She's a good girl and freaked out when i snap chatted her the pic on here last night
I really would love to see us beat t.u. but I won't be disappointed with an upset in the first round
Corner Bar, rebels and mad hatters are the bars you should check out. Dixie chicken is a cool place to grab a beer during the day but not too fun at night. Unless you go on a Thursday night when drink specials are the best in town.
Conveniently start in 2006..?

At least try and be sneaky
If interest in college-aged kids is in question, stop by the Corner on a Champions league match day and take a look at the representation of soccer fans in college station in the middle of classes.
I play for the Men's Club Team. We practice at the Penberthy Complex. Without recruiting or funding from the university we compete at a high level. The current club has two former D1 players, and a handful of lower division players.

The Issue with Ellis is that it was not built to sustain play from men and women. It is the best field I have ever played on, but it is too soft to take a beating from a mens and women team.

The Soccer camps mentioned earlier are primarily attended by girls, but there is a market for boys. And if an NCAA team was created, that market would increase a ton. If you want to look at boys interest in college soccer, you should look at the amount of boys SMU soccer camps draw in.
Texas already has a few D1 men's programs: Houston Baptist, SMU, Incarnate Ward. An issue with starting a men's program would be playing surface. Ellis field is not capable of more than twice the amount of beating it receives now. The field is extremely soft and this makes it unsuitable for the extra force Men would bring to it.
Hopefully we add an offense with a pulse.

Goodbull puts out a mock uniform form every bowl game. We had cow uniforms when we were in the Chick-fil-a bowl.
There's been about 7 solid posts on this thread.
1. RK's apology (acceptance is a huge step towards recovery)
2. LSU Queer joke by LSU queer
3-7. Various boobies

I read a lot, never post. But it is unbearable to see the petty back and forth between those who melt too hard and those who are unmeltable.

Next time you want to post a repetitive thread, post tits, the board will be grateful because of it.

To those suggesting soccer as an alternative, the same concerns are being considered in the soccer world. The United States Soccer Federation outlawed heading for children 10 and under, and limited it for 11-13 year olds recently.

Sports are played with knowledge of the risk of injury. If you don't want to be injured don't play. If you don't want your kid to be injured, don't let them play.

The defense will be put to the test in Tallahassee. This time around will be with a different keeper however, and that can change a scoresheet quickly.
I've had brunch at The Corner to watch some early morning soccer games before. They change their hours of operation occasionally, so you might check by there. No Idea what an early game day is like there, just a thought.
Wednesday evening about halfway through the Spring semester. About halfway in between the Corner and Northside Garage.

Jaywalking has never been something I've been aware of being monitored. Most of the police monitoring hangout near Logan's and Social looking for fights or PIs.
This is not true. I saw the accident this weekend in front of Boulevard (used to be Daisy Dukes). Same situation happened last Spring in front of the Corner Bar.

Could be worse though. I'm English. Our group is easier but we're matched up with Spain/Holland's group in the second round. Even if we make through we're fricked.

well I'm American, and making it to the knockout stage is a successful world cup for us. so id have to disagree that advancing is worse than not advancing
would love to here the NA-PO-LEEE chant again. solid catcher, with a big bat would be great to have him back

plus he can rock a serious man-beard

for anyone interested:

To the Aggie Family

When I announced, in July of this year, my resignation from the presidency of Texas A&M University, I noted that my love for students is and has been my primary motivation. At that time a return to the faculty and to teaching and research seemed the logical path for me. Since that announcement I have devoted a great deal of thought to how best to continue doing what I love -- serving students. Recently, a unique and exciting opportunity came my way, an opportunity to continue affecting the lives and futures of thousands of students, not just a few dozen enrolled in the classes I would teach or working in the laboratories where I would do research. While it is very difficult to imagine ourselves anywhere else but Aggieland, Karin and I have found a new home with many of the attributes of Texas A&M. Today the University of Missouri System is announcing that I will become the 22nd Chancellor of its flagship campus in Columbia, Missouri. As a Fightin' Texas Aggie, a piece of me will always be here, and my love for this university's students will not lessen. We look forward to maintaining the friendships we have forged here while we develop new ones in the State of Missouri. I will be leading the oldest public university west of the Mississippi, a land-grant institution that shares much with Texas A&M -- a rich history, membership in the Association of American Universities and the Southeastern Conference, an outstanding faculty and staff, and a passionate student body and alumni. We wish only the best for Texas A&M and for its students, former students, faculty and staff.

R. Bowen Loftin '71
President

I met Loftin the first week of my Freshman year because he was cool enough to watch the women's soccer game with the freshman class at fish camp day. He always took the time to shake anyone's hand and say some words. Great guy
anger anger anger, dirty cheating swamp kittens, big brother big brother big brother.

Happy now?

Now leave me alone as i go watch reruns of the 2012 bama game and reminisce about the good ol' days
