definitely getting some good recruits coming in... however Texas can never fill their classes with good Dline recruits. This is no different than Herman's recruiting and if it doesnt change you will score a bunch but give up more.

it also requires A&M to win a world series game which it never has.
I do think it would be cool for home games during the playoffs, but playoffs some years will be watered down for sure.
yea I am almost arguing on who gets to play in the playoff but not the actual winner. No one was going to beat Bama or LSU the last two years. Same can be said for Clemson prior.
yea its tough and I agree with everything you are saying. People are losing interest in seeing the exact same teams in the playoffs every year. The path to the playoff currently is not the same for every conference. A 1-2 loss SEC team could stand toe to toe with other conference champions but they will never have a shot at proving they deserve to be in the playoff. Such a disparity in talent levels from conference to conference.
you are right about having to play multiple top level teams but that creates your "cinderella teams" like March Madness.
and I think everyone agrees there are plenty of teams in the Country that can beat OU. Expanding playoffs exposes teams when they don't face a mediocre conference.
will know more after this weekend, but the way A&M is playing they could make a run into the finals in the expanded playoff scenario. Momentum is a hell of a drug.

is Ole Miss all of a sudden healthy this upcoming weekend? Have not followed how bad the injuries are but I would guess if they were not game time decision last weekend nothing will change a week later?

A&M didnt score an offensive touchdown but won 20-3. shite the bed twice on the 4 yard line (props to Auburn). Could easily be a TOP game and Ole Miss has to put 7 on the board majority of possessions. Going to be interesting if Kiffin takes the Miss St. playbook and uses it all weekend on our defense.
Nolen isn’t going anywhere. A&M defense is playing at a very high level.

Settle down. Arkansas and Miss st took care of business and it doesn’t matter what issues Aggie we’re having. A&M is playing good football right now and moving in the right direction.
I would agree but LSU has taken advantage of A&M since joining so A&M never takes them lightly down or not.
I can see all of that happening minus LSU beating A&M.

Apologize to Daddy.
Bama has to lose and we have to win out.

If Bo comes out playing like he has the past couple weeks in regards to pass completion % then yea he is finding success, but he could easily fall back into the category with Calzada on being average.
yea A&M/Auburn game is a toss up. No clue which Calzada will show up. I guess you could say the same for Bo Nix.
I was about to say go watch Calzada throw a dump pass.

what I like most is the emphasis on building the interior line especially DL. Outside of the best offenses I have ever seen in LSU/Bama b2b years every national championship team had nasty D Lines.
the committee is basically saying the A&M team that lost to Arkansas and MSU (also ranked) is not the same A&M team playing today. A&M has gotten drastically better throughout the year. A&M could arguably win out and Bama's loss will be to a top 10 team on the road.
"Flagship University in Texas" lol
idk man Texas brought these coaches in because of their prior success. Culture from top to bottom is out of whack.
Texas whiffed on so much talent in the trenches the trickle down effect is occurring. Strong and Herman fielded a hell of a 7 on 7 team.
Texas will have a nice trio of QB/RB/WR to work off of next season. Fun to watch Worthy play. It's obvious Texas lacks depth needed in the trenches especially on the defensive side of the ball. The blown leads gives me ptsd of Sherman's last season.
I think he is really good with a lot of upside but I do agree he is not the best player in 2023 maybe not even his position. I think Weigman out of 2022 brings more to the table out of the gate.
haven't really followed the Manning recruitment. Sounds like Texas is pretty confident in his commitment?
barely beating teams should move you down in ranking. Wish that held true for all teams. The idea of scraping by and staying in the same spot doesn't make sense in the top 10. Losing our starting qb threw even more question marks into our offense so yes moving us was the right thing to do.
