that was a fairly expensive bike to hit. those november wheels run around $1500 i think, and i'd guess that frame is at least 2,200, hope it's not cracked.

Where else was he going to ride? There were no sidewalks. People in vehicles need to put the phone away. If it were a motorcycle an accident would have still occured, and injury would be near comparable. Careless driving needs to be corrected, and hopefully this officer rides a desk for a bit and has to pay to fix the bike out of his own pockets.

Cop was coming from filming a lip sync challenge video with his department and was trying to upload it to his Facebook page. Bicyclist was on his daily 20 mile ride filming his ride so later he can post it to his blog. Blame technology and social media not the people.
