Following Kayshon Boutte's announcement on Thursday night that he would be leaving the team to enter the 2023 NFL Draft, LSU head coach Brian Kelly released the following statement regarding his departure.

It gets to a point where everyone is tired of the drama and it’s best that both parties go their separate ways. If he can play his tape will show and a team will take a risk good for him. You hate to lose talent but this was becoming way too toxic so ultimately it’s going to be addition by subtraction

As the defections keep happening it reminds me of the good ole days when players stayed and played their heart out. That wasn’t very long ago. January 1, 2019 LSU played in the Fiesta a non playoff game. Full roster. Those days are gone forever.

Best of luck to him. WR is one of the few positions where LSU could lose a starter like that and still be ok.
