Earlier this year, Rex Ryan's name surfaced as a candidate for the Cowboys defensive coordinator position. They instead hired Mike Zimmer. Ryan claims he knows how to fix Dallas defense, but they didn't have the money to hire him...

quote:

"I would’ve fixed it in a New York minute," Ryan claimed. "But, that being said, they couldn’t pony up the money, or I would've been there."

“You brought in a guy that was 29th in the league his last two years at Minnesota, the enthusiasm he brings when he left, that’s the guy that’s gonna inspire you?” Ryan said. “This can go really bad for Dallas.”

Rex hasn’t coached in eight years. He’s obviously not in high demand these days.

The reason is because he threw a ridiculously high number out there knowing they wouldn't touch it because his job in the studio is too easy and pays too well to actually have to be accountable for his defensive unit.

He's right. They'd be irreparably damaged from that buffoon and his shitty management. They'd be better off hiring Ed O
