Are they worth reading if I've already seen the movie versions of 2001 and 2010?
I enjoyed both the movies and kinda want to see what happens after 2010. Is ,some of the stuff left vague in the films explained in the books, like how Bowman changed?

I hate the movie but the first book was alright. I'm open to reading the others if I come across them.

Movie was just painfully slow and boring to me. Book felt like there was more of a story.

I haven't finished the Space Odyssey series. However, Clarke is one of my favorites and if you like science fiction, Clark's Rendezvous With Rama was great and the sequels are good as well, but the first one is the best in the series.
