I'm listening to WWL online right now. Miles didn't call the conference, he always speaks to the media at 6:00 on Wednesdays after practice. WWL just said that at around 4:00 this afternoon rumors in BR started "getting legs" and that the feeling was that Miles might say something to the media re same.

I have been listening to WWL since 4:30 and not once did they say Miles had called a press conference. What they said was that LSU was currently on the practice field and he may or maynot make a statement after. Quit stirring shite

I didnt say that either, someone edited my thread title. All I said is he was going to be addressing the media tonight and he might say something about the UM job.

I gotta disagree a little. I was listening shortly after 5 and they definitely were anticipating a statement to the press at 6:00. Might have just been assuming but they definitely were talking like he would talk to the media.

There is no reason to call this conference if he is taking the job. A few more days would not hurt Michigan.
The only reason to call this is if he is staying.
Because Les is a Michigan guy, Michigan and Les made a deal that UM is not going to make an offer, but to let Miles save face they will let him withdraw his name from consideration.
Tell me that is not 100% more plausible than half the crap thrown around here all week.
