It's tough for coach O right now because he's so unproven as a HC. Big time coaches want to work with proven successful HCs. There is no Ed Orgeron coaching tree and no one knows if he will be a disaster as HC again. Same goes for recruits. He must have a few good years contending for the SEC west right away or things can get bad. This is why you don't hire unproven coaches if you don't have to.

i mean if we're willing to pay 2 million for an oc this shouldn't be an issue.

If I were Canada, and this meeting was a formality to finalize a deal, I would meet with LSU and immediately go home. Right. But then what's the use of all this money we're reportedly willing to throw at coordinators and position coaches?

I'm sure he will see what LSU is offering. Ask for 24hrs to make a decision. See if Pitt can come up in pay to where it's not worth the risk or hassle for an extra 2-300k. Maybe Saban called this morning and said he wants to talk before he decides. Yea we all know he's a a-hole to work for but what would look better on his resume? (National championship)

Nobody knows and this is very likely why it has never been attempted. (Go cheap on the HC, and try and hire the best Coordinators) Not to keep bringing it up, but I would love to know what was written in that binder to make Joe think "Yeah man, that's a brilliant idea"

With everyone on edge waiting for word about the interview...I think it would be funny for someone to make a title thread "Canada excepts LSU offer" click said title with a "made you look" in the message...On second thoughts that wont be funny
