Arkansas was the only school pursuing those guys? We don't even know if Arkansas pursued them at all. Miles himself said he wasn't offered by Arkansas. I know you didn't mention him, but I've seen Gundy's name mentioned in connection with UT far more than I've seen him mentioned as a possibility for the Ark job.
ETA: Yea, we likely had discussions with a lot of coaches. That's fairly common. But we didn't offer the damn job to every one of them.

Agreed but a discussion goes far enough to think Bielema perhaps wasn't the top choice right or wrong. fwiw, if he hires a great staff I think it's a great hire.

Believe I read Wisky was 3rd from last in the Big Ten in pay for assistants, with pretty bad facilities.
We have top notch facilities that continue to get money and get even better, and he has been given a shitload of money to spend on assistants.

BB should take note of what Saban did coming from Michigan State to LSU. Hired southern coaches: Jimbo Fisher, Gary Gibbs, Dooley, Rick Trickett, etc.
Very similar situation, no assts came with Saban. Bobby Williams succeeded him at MSU and came after he was fired.
