Dude will be an NFL head coach in 3-5 years with no head coaching experience.

I think key and schumann would be great. Sheperd is if your looking for high risk/ reward outcome on smallest contract exposure possible. Why is this a shite list?

Pay 13+ for lane, 12+ for drink... lea at alma mater whos paying for football now, lanning we cant outbid nike.

In the nfl ha. Not college, or some small college. Top 3 hc in nfl thinks hes smart / talented / relatable enough to coach defense to one of the top nfl teams. But he isnt good enough for lsu. Weird logic.

Cfp is more nfl esk these days. You have to be able to acclimate 35-40 new heads to your program a year. Nfl coaches do this with their personnel turnover. And gms/ head of player scouting, etc roles in lsu athletic dept, alleviate some parts od recruiting, etc for a hc. I dont think sheperd is a bad hire at all if he were to get it.

Seems like there's 6-8 really good options out there. Be happy with a lot of them

I think the most important part is when he replied to someone saying that he knows for a fact Sheppard is waiting on a call. Most of the media pretty much agrees he wouldn't go to LSU because he's going to be a head coach in the NFL soon. But all the former players seem to think the opposite.

I have no clue how Sheppard would perform as the head coach of LSU. But I do know that usually when a guy's former teammates all agree he would be a good coach, the guy usually ends up being a really good coach. There are multiple examples in every sport having success right now.

Why do the players/former players always have the worst lists of coaching candidates?

I think they just go by the relationships they have with these coaches and just throw them on there regardless if they would actually be good or not.

Correct. ranter couch potatoes know much more than guys that actually played the game.

You can’t seriously consider the opinion of 20ish year olds who just want their buddy to coach so they can have some cush job or access to the program.

No it’s not. He’s been coordinator for less than a calendar year. Idgaf what you think, that’s nowhere near enough experience to come and do this job. Hiring him would be insanely reckless
