Is NC State a better basketball job?
Yes. They are a basketball school. Is it UNC/Kansas/UK? No
quote:
What would it take to get him back?
Lot’s of fricking chicken fingers, new facilities, and a serious NIL package.

I feel like he’s gonna kill it at NCST and then go to a Kentucky or something
He will turn NCst into something bigger and move on. LSU, if heavily invested, could turn LSU into a basketball destination, but let’s be real. Football is king. Baseball is our love. Basketball is just kinda here.

It would take years. If McMahon was let go after this year it’s highly unlikely Wade is looking to move 1 year in. On top of this, our donors are forking out a ton of money on a buyout and new coaching staff for football. I don’t know that there will be much of an appetite to throw a lot of money at bball. With our football situation I wouldn’t be surprised if we retain McMahon if he barely misses the tourney.

For a 10-12 year period, basketball was NUMBER ONE on the LSU campus.
Baseball HAS NEVER been that at LSU. Hell, before Skip arrived, they didn't even print tickets to the games.
If/when we ever get a winner back (and Wade was it), you'll see the cash BLEEDING baseball program relegated back to it's proper place on campus.
And THAT is what you baseball Jethros are TERRIFIED about. Along with that white sheet you've got hidden in your trunk being discovered.

Pretty bold claim to make on a message board. Care to add evidence to your claim about me.
guess no one can have a different opinion about LSU basketball than your opinion. Apparently your opinion only matters!

quote:NC State is a bigger basketball school than most people here are giving credit. It's by far their most passionate sport. They've won 2 national championships. That triangle with Duke and UNC is the most rabid basketball territory in the country. LSU is a bigger brand, but not in basketball. It was a destination school for Valvano. It's definitely not a given that LSU could easily get him if he's successful there.
He will turn NCst into something bigger and move on.
Besides the way that he was treated at LSU, does he really want to remind everyone of the scandal by coming back. At NC State, it would probably come up much less often.

Lord I hope we don’t get that loser back.
