Anything to the "secret meeting" that reportedly took place on Saturday?

You over estimate the power of alums ect... I personally don't think they were that excited about getting Les to start with. He was a good fit and a good coach but I don't think anyone at Michigan had to be put on suicide watch when he signed the extension.

Get your head out. There is something there. It may be small and may not be of any consequence, but something is going on.

For sure something is going on, no doubt about it. And we do not need these distractions right now.

Just want to say that Skip Bayless or Blayless on First Take is probably the biggest child I have ever seen. He acts like a 13 yr old. Its really pathetic.

Don't pay any attention to what Bayless says or does. Even his peers don't respect him. When i lived in Dallas, he was hated because he spread total BS about the Cowboys, even insinuating that Troy Aikman was gay. He's full of shite.

When Les stays at LSU I sure hope some dirty Cajun will send a pot of crow stew to ESPN.

Coach shouldn't be unhappy. If it's not true just ignore it. You can't stop the media.

Belowpar, are you on the inside or something? Stupid wording by me, I know, but I haven't kept up with this board the whole time. You sound like you know what you're talking about and everyone believes you so I assume you were right about something already.

Herbie verified the story before it went on the air, tenuta also verified the story. Miles has talked to him and knows where the story and verification came from.

Sherman,
I have become a firm believer in BelowPar's scources. Go back and look at his posts. If he says that Miles is getting pissed about this, then he is.

ESPN's Firs and Ten just threw that quote back at Les and called him a liar.

I wonder if there's any sort of legal action Coach Miles can take against ESPN to get them to stop, i.e., threatening them w/ a defamation suit.

Not if it's said as "opinion".

I don't know. If they actually called him a liar, that might still work for a defamation suit, perhaps even a slander/libel (depending on the medium) suit, even if given as opinion.

DO YOU HAVE DIRECT CONTACT WITH THE HAT? HOW DO YOU KNOW THE REAL STORY?

Maybe so. And there's also the defense that the guy who says it(especially true if it were Skip Bayliss) normally says outrageous things. So it can't be defamation because his job is to "shock" the audience.

True. But to make that defense, they would have to come out and openly claim that they are not trying to be news, and that they deliberately make stuff up. That would be a pretty serious blow to what little credibility they still have.
