I don’t think that’s quite accurate. The release said “$25mil (+)”. For the 2025-26 academic year, the NCAA allows a baseline budget of up to $20.5 million for revenue sharing, of which LSU is allocating $13.5 million to football. That puts it $6.75mil for 2025 and 2026 bringing the minimum to $31.75 for the roster. However, I’ve seen several posts from people who know more about how it works than I do and the revenue sharing number that they are throwing out is closer to $9mil which would put the total around $34mil.

Because everything else around us (we) here in Louisiana suuuuuuucks but we don’t care what our rank is in all of the other quality of life metrics. LSU will raise prices again on what everyone here agrees is a shite experience going to games in tiger stadium between traffic, bathrooms, and concessions, piped in music, and shootings while trying to walk to your car.
As long as billionaires throw honestly and realistically undeserved amounts of money at a guy to get paid - to be a college football coach. We’ll just make do with everything else around our state to suck.

I believe Saban publicly told Kiffin to stay at ole miss while he was mulling over whether he wanted to coach here, then move into the AD position.
