The negative press Saban gets mite not have hurt him on the football/recruiting fields, but his reputation and character is shot. EVERY news commentary on Coach Miles' situation mentioned a comparison to Saban's lack of class. Saban is now known as a whore of a coach. From all that I have heard bout him, he could care less. But: that is his reputation, and for most folks, that does "hurt".

Hell, I'm just glad there is another coach getting some heat from them instead of Miles now

Didnt hurt Spurrier or Saban, so doubt it hurts Petrino.
Spurrier and Saban at least finished the season before moving back to the college level.

Wonder what Lou Holtz would say about all of this. Yeah he works for ESPN too

I think no one will hire him again after what he has done over the past few years..

He's definitely bringing some baggage with him. I guess the Hogs can use the publicity even if it is negative!

Yeah, he will probably rip on Petrino too.
No matter that 30 years ago he quit the 3-10 Jets with three games left in the season to become the Hogs head coach.

And Sean Salisbury got reassigned for showing female coworkers pictures of his co.ck on his cell phone.
He shouldn't be ragging on anybody about integrity.
