I'm expecting Crowton to stay at this point, but just hoping for a small Christmas miracle
Did anyone really believe that if he would be let go it would be BEFORE the bowl game?

According to Crowton's bio, he has coached seven quarterbacks who have gone on to be selected in the NFL Draft. That's over a span of 26 years as an OC/QB/HC. I wonder how many of those 7 were only coached by Crowton for 1 year...like Matt Flynn.

No screens vs Auburn when there in the backfield all day.
No naked bootlegs vs Arkansas when the ends were constantly crashing down.
Thank God Holliday graduated cause putting him twenty yards to the right of the QB all the way to the sidelines was just pure genius on Crowtons part. JJ can't hit are 6'3 WR's ten yards from him yet you want him to throw it to a 5'5 guy 20 yards away who can't catch. WTF does this guy think it is a God damn video game ?

Wasn't 2010 the "make or break" year?
The expectations were way down this year so you can't really say that. Crowton is going to stay one more year. If he doesn't turn it around next year with a Sr. QB or Mett (if hes as good as advertised) then he will be let go.
I think we have to live with another year of our offense being ranked between 80 and 100.

like someone said earlier, why not just go with some young up and comer? whats the worst that can happen? bad offensive play?

better chance that crowton marries 5 more women before he is axed at LSU.

Seriously? Let's fire a coach who's gone 61-17 with a BCSNC and see who LSU is able to hire.
Crowton will be gone either this year or next year imo.
Posted on 12/15/10 at 11:52 am to GeauxTigersLee
crowton will likely get an extension if mett comes in and lights the world on fire.

I think he's gonna be gone, but no changes will be made till after the bowl game. Expect something cause it's going to happen.

I am a bit concerned that Miles could be foregoing a new OC because he may be in the running for the Michigan job, should Harbaugh turn it down. Could this be a possibility?

Meh. Dixon averaged 240 yards and 2 tds in the 1st half of 06. He played pretty well in 05 after Clemens got hurt too. He went and played pro baseball between 06 and 07 and got the maturity he needed.
Anyways, I think Lee is the only QB that Crowton has coached for more than 3 years.
Posted on 12/15/10 at 12:25 pm to TheDoc
i kind of expect him to step down at the end of the year due to family reasons.
he better

It just takes Crow 5 years to get his system in place.
The 5th year is when his O really takes off!
