I would not be surprised if doesn't survive at the Saints. Although you can trace a lot of the poor defense to lack of talent in the Saint's defensive backfield, at some point you have to look at coaching for being unable to adjust to the talent you have. What if he is let go and wants to get back to the college game? He was our LB coach before going to the Saints. Thoughts?

No...his name has never come up.

I think it is out of these college coaches:
Chavis
Tenuta
Walker

I like all three of those better than what we have, I'm still can't get excited over Chavis though. The SEC has changed and he really hasn't changed with it.

exactly -- and Rohan and Josh Reed burned him for about 400 yards way back in 2000 (okay no one could cover Josh Reed)

But still I'm way more excited about the ECU guy who shut down Tulsa

the Saints' problems are MUCH more attributable to player personnel problems than coaching.

plus, I'm not sure you are spot on in regards to your analysis of the defensive backfield. I think it has a lot more to do with the 3 of 4 DB starters on IR than a lack of talent, generally, at the position. Jason David has handled himself pretty well (this season) for a fifth-stringer being thrust into a starting role. Besides, the Saints alleged DB woes (as with LSU's) have a whole lot more to do with an inability to rush the passer due in large part to weak OLBs and fat, slow and lazy DEs like Charles Grant. Ever notice how much more pressure is put on opposing QBs when McCray (see also Alem for Tyson Jackson, who is really just an exact clone of Grant) is in for Grant.

It IS kinda funny that Grant got a HUGE contract because he had a decent year a few years back and Tyson Jackson gets all kinds of playing time because he had a decent year a few years back. Both of these players should be playing DT based on their size, speed and quickness.
