He's a perfect candidate for "Shadow Staff Consultant"

Completely agree with this. Take a page out of UA's playbook and hire him as a consultant. But hiring Briles as an OC is a bit much imho and be prepared for LSU to get hit pretty hard by the national media if they do pull this move.

Yea I thought about him as OC yesterday but the time isn't right. A backroom position though? Definitely.

Same thing happen to Tressel when he went to work for the Colts.

well i mean Tressel and Briles were let go for different reasons in different climates

the one issue with Briles is that we know Alleva will shut down a season for sexual allegations, no matter how false they are. Briles could be a liability there

IIRC, Hanagriff promised though that if Briles was at LSU in any capacity, he'd quit supporting them.

I have a problem with LSU hiring Briles as an OC. As a consultant is a different story.

That or in general, minus all of the non-gameday football stuff.

Art Briles >>>>>>>>> Lane Kiffin (infinitely greater)

The Kiffin talk really needs to stop. Especially with what looks like some promising jobs about to open up.

English major?

I was making an obvious observation. If the guy is part of rape cover up, why isn't the police after him? I'm curious. Michael Vick got jail time for dog fighting. here we have a guy associated with covering up rape and the police aren't concerned? Sandusky is in jail. It seems like when people are associated with this stuff they get jail time.

P.S. You may want to look in the mirror with this language and comments. You may find you aren't much different/better than Briles or what you think of him, my man. Hypocrisy/ignorance at it's finest.

Baylor Regents said he covered up rape

Misleading. He didn't actively engage in covering up the rape charge, he simply "failed to report it". Baylor has had title IX issues dating back to the Patrick Dennehy case. Briles is NOT in charge of that area, and that is where Baylor failed.

Yeah he only covered up rape, nbd

At least he didn't do something really bad like covering up his players getting free tattoos, because apparently that is enough to end your coaching career.

Huh? You're making shite up. 100%. He has been coaching in different capacities, with the Cowboys, the Browns, and here or there at other places. He currently works as an offensive consultant with the Browns.
