Hanny isn’t saying this based on rumors. If he is, he will say it’s just rumors.
You can basically take what he says as gospel unless he tells you otherwise. He’s one of the least “look at me” guys you could want reporting sports.

If we were 86+ mil plus NIL but OM and Fla were well below that, it tells me he only coming here because of money. Not because he wanted to be here

Kiffin comes across as a pretty average hire to me. I know everyone is high on him, but I think he’s overrated and will end up being a disappointment. Wouldnt be mad if he passes on us.

He’s been a huge disappointment at Ole Miss so far, so your post seems reasonable.

He’s having a good season this year, no doubt. But his overall record as a head coach isn’t great. Last year he should have been in the playoffs but blew 2 games to unranked teams, one being Kentucky at home. 2 years prior he was 8-5. He’s an off and on winner. Couldn’t win at USC in a weak conference. Didn’t win at Tennessee. Was off and on at Florida Atlantic. Overall winning percentage is under 70%. He just reeks overrated to me. What has he done to make you feel he’s a slam dunk hire?

Compare his 3 years at FAU to any coach at FAU in its entire history.
Compare his 6 years at Ole Miss to literally any coach in Ole Miss history.
Its true, at USC he fumbled even though they were on probation at that time but Sarkisian also fumbled at USC and ended up doing well at Texas.
The Tennessee thing was a huge fumble as well although he brought in a lot of talent.
The Raiders thing? Al Davis was a moron and Kiffin had no business at all running an NFL team.
Is his resume eye popping? No, but hes done a good job over the course of 7 years since he left Bama for FAU.
The job hes been doing at Ole Miss is excellent given the history of Ole Miss.

Well, if that’s the bar we’re using, then I guess he’s our guy. I’m looking at the bigger picture. I just don’t think he’s worth the money we’ll pay him.

Why would he sign an extension when he has out himself Ina position to make a historic run, this year? That’s be dumb. You wait until you see how the playoffs workout and the talk extension. You don’t think the terms of a new contract would change, considerably, if he were to win a playoff game or even a NC? The “Why hasn’t he signed the extension” shite is the dumbest argument to have.
