I have to disagree based on the '07 season alone.
He is good in his 1st year in a program and then said program goes downhill fast as well as Crowton's effectiveness.

Logically, this doesn't make any sense. If Matt Flynn had another year of eligibility, he would have probably had an outstanding second year as well.
Again, it is all in the quarterback. He can't develop them.

True it is strange but then so is Crowton.

which isn't good news since he is a college coach. I also think he is a terrible play caller.

MERRY CHRISTMAS.
God bless us, everyone.

He has been the last two years, but it is hard to ignore what he's had under center. That being said, he has tried to fit a square peg in a round hole.
Regardless, the guy called one of the most prolific offenses in LSU history in '07. I think there is hope for him if a qualified person took over QB development.
We just don't have room on this staff at this point.

I agree but you can work around having a terrible QB for the most part and he hasn't done that.

I've heard there is a chance he may not be there after bowl game!

Offensive game planning...Fail.
Play calling...Fail.
QB development...Fail.
Recruiting...Fail.

Great point and one not made often enough. The Crowtonic-decline is well documented. What isn't are all the factors involved. Until someone normalizes them (not easily done IMO), it's difficult to say how much of the declines are on Crowton.
That said, something ain't working. Either Les needs to let GC run the O, or replace him with someone more agreeable with what Les wants to do on O.

If we get a new OC it Mett will be a lock to start next season. JJ and JL haven't proven they can learn an offense in 3 seasons. Let them try learning a new one in a few short months.

You people are a bunch of juvenile losers.
"I heard that rumor on the recruiting board a couple of months ago. Not saying it's true, but some guy on the recruiting board apparently knew a trainer at Mett's C.C. The trainer said that Mett told him Crowton was resigning at the end of the year for family reasons. I don't know if it's true, but it does add credance to your rumor."
So you HEARD from a guy (un-named) on a recruiting board (un-named)that knew Mett's trainer (un-named) who told some one (un-named) that a kid who had no connection with LSU at that point said that Crowton was resigning, etc. And you think that adds credence to the rumor? This is credibility?
"The guy who told me this rumor is a former NFL player who usually knows what is going on."
Ok another un-named person who is a former NFL player? No explanation of who this mystery player is and how he has inside information. Who could ever dispute that?
"I've heard there is a chance he may not be there after bowl game!" From whom? Your sister's boyfriend's nephew's teacher's barber?
"If we get a new OC it Mett will be a lock to start next season." An untested SEC rookie?
You idiots are a hoot this morning. I guess it was all the eggnog.
