Oh yeah.
SW wasn't getting his Orgeron buyout money, unless the boosters were assured he had locked in a SOLID coach. Boosters went through this before, buyout Miles and settle for Ed.
Wasn't going to happen a 2nd time, in so few years since then.

I wouldn't go that far, but there may be a candidate or two that his heavily weighing if they agree to the job...
Woodward may have given a coach a specific date he needs to hear an answer, one way or another, before moving on to the next choice.

Jimbo is getting commitments from the #2 recruit in the country at his current job while this board continues to dream he's planning his exit. It's all very dumb.

One thing we know for sure is a coach like jimbo will not be given a deadline.

They're still pretending Lincoln's the guy. It's getting really sad. Clingy even.

How many times does it need to be said?
WE DON’T WANT JIMBO
Stop this fricking fantasy scenario you’re creating where you have a coach worth “stealing”

No one is predicting riley.
Now you are lying.
Now you are lying.

All I want is a younger, no-nonsense, no controversial, tough coach who has an excellent past record. I dont care for Mullens, Kiffen, or Jimbo.

So there were circumstances that we’d have kept O?

I think he made sure he had a coach commitment before he fired O.

Funny you say that FL has more talent that LA. Does Saban have a bunch of FL recruits on his team? Seems to always run to LA and steal our guys to help fill out his championship rosters. This happens EVERY year, so I wouldn't put much stock in your comparison. FL has talented kids, don't misunderstand what I am saying. But, if they had an abundance of talent, 3 major college football programs in FL who have a history of winning championships would have at least 1 of them competing for one right now. None of them have a coaching staff better than LSU right now, and that shouldn't be the case for a state that has no state tax (big deal with NIL) and a supposed abundance of talent. LA has a wealth of talent in this state, enough to provide top quality talent for LSU and even other teams.

The thing that really worries me the most is LSU becoming like UF, Tenn, Texas, USC, where they have continually dropped off after going through coach after coach.
You give a guy 3-4 yrs and he is gone and that hurts recruiting year after year because of the constant talk about the coaches and changes.
I hope SW has his guy and it is somebody that will be here a long time. I just fear of becoming like these other once powerhouses that have become a shadow of their former self.
