No way in hell Woodward/LSU would SETTLE on Mark Stoops. As far as Bill Clark goes (as you mentioned in a different thread), he has been successful, no doubt, so good eye; but I do not think Mr. Woodward would take the risk on a guy on a transformation from Conference USA to the mighty SEC. That's a ginormous jump.

I'm leaning towards hearing something on Sunday.

I'm not pretending I know anything, I don't. It's just a feeling.

I have to agree.

The LSU football program is the cash cow out of the athletic programs. No disrespect to any other program. I love following them all but the football program is the money maker.

There's no way Woodward goes from getting Jimbo (who I don't want) to A&M and then coming here and after everything settling on Mark Stoops. I don't see it.

Is Mark Stoops a decent coach, sure. Is he what LSU wants or needs. No.

I see the arguments about what's he done at Kentucky but it's Kentucky.

We want to be like Kentucky now? I don't see it.

Yeah, but as Sean pointed out, I could absolutely see Mark Stoops going to OkieU. I misread the OP question.

But our new hire at LSU I agree no f ing way it's Mark Stoops.

Nah. I don't see that. I see him staying at UK.

His offense is "too old" if that makes any sense.

I could see OU promoting from within honestly.

An outside shot would be Kiffin but he has a house in Boca Raton, if that Miami job opens up and he's offered and it's a decent offer, I could see him going there.

He's never stayed at a program for more than a few seasons. He bounces around a lot.

Ahhh, ok I see (on Mark). And yes, I agree strongly Kiffin and his parents would absolutely haul arse the hell out of wussy OLD Miss and get to MIAMI as fast as possible, absolutely bud.

Forgot about that.

Thanks for the correction.

Two people being nice to one another on the CCB... It's absolutely beautiful! I almost shed a tear.

To an extent but the excuse will be along the lines of "It's the holiday weekend, they will make the announcement on Monday".

Then they will make the announcement on monday. Current mood:
