I think LSU missed the window...

The time to get Lane to commit was early or middle of this week. I truly don't think he knows right now and that makes it worse. It makes me believe it's going to be an emotional decision and if it is the momentum will be with Ole Miss. I don't see him wanting to leave these players before the CFP.
They needed to get to him earlier in the week when it would've been more of a business decision and not an emotional decision.

Well it's a big deal for the university and the state we love.. Good bad & the ugly... I've never been this nervous about a coaching search... Such an important hire for LSU during this unprecedented time in college football

This was never going to happen unless Ole Miss fired him. There was no way he was going to just quit mid-season and if you think that was a possibility, you were delusional.
The only way LSU could land Lane is if we waited while he navigated the firestorm in Oxford this week and got to Saturday when he can announce his decision. Mission accomplished. Now we wait.

If LSU was serious about Kiffin, it had to let things play out according to his rules or Sexton’s rules. Thats called respect. So the window apparently the rest of the weekend. LSU hasn’t missed the window. Just because other candidates have said they’re agreeing to new contracts doesn’t mean they’re out of the picture if LSU has to expand its search beyond Kiffin.
