They both run the veer and shoot and two of the most “pure” versions of it that Briles created

Heupel offense is a gimmicky joke just look at how the NFL views his players and the dude does not have the personality to work here.

So you turn your nose up at a coach because his players flame out in the NFL even though his system puts up a ton of points.

What does that tell you about the system?

I can't see any reason where Kiffin is a better option than Heupel.

Heupel looks like shite and makes some bad in game decisions. And his qb evaluations leave a lot to be desired imo. Lane seems to be the more stable candidate, which would have been a shocking statement a decade ago

im ok with golesh...but what makes him better than Dillingham?
based on track record he’s not. Dillingham has coached in a tougher conference, won it, and even coached a playoff game.

The main thing is Dillingham is at his alma mater and might be tougher to pull away than Golesh from usf because. That

exactly

if you are ranking the candidates that are actually obtainable

its

1) kiffin
2) dillingham
3) fisch
4) Golesh

kiffin is a no brainer, heupel isnt available imo anyways

the other 2 P4 guys have shown the ability to be good to great OCs and turn programs around.

of the p4 guys Golesh is the best imo of the Offensive guys. Sumrall of the defensive guys

the guys wanting eric morris can frick off. he has been a HC for 7 seasons and only won 7 games twice. im not saying he isnt a great OC, but he is a huge huge risk hire.

Ahh yes because every coach that runs the "spread" has the exact same offense..

No but Heupel and Golesh but run a “pure” version of the veer and shoot. This isn’t debatable

He’s called plays 1 season as an OC.

His other stents outside of Oregon he did not call plays.

show the proof?

and again...even if he didnt...he improved the offenses when he was there and the Qbs and he killed it his one season calling plays and has killed it as HC

Just curious why would you hate the Heupel hire? He’s accomplished more than Lane has in a much shorter amount of time? He has had great offenses each year. He didn’t give in and let Nico and his handlers push him to pay him more than he’s worth. He turned around a bad Tennessee program.

People seem to not like Heupel because of his dry personality but the dude checks a ton of boxes. And he's younger than Lane

His offenses are every bit as productive and innovative as Lane's, and he gets more consistent defensive play than Lane has

I think he'd kill it in Baton Rouge and he has to be in the A Group for this search. I don't care how quiet his name has been. Just makes a ton of sense.
