Dillingham had 1 fluke season and you people lose your fricking minds over him like he’s going to be Nick Saban

I think Dilly would be a terrible hire and I think he is the most overrated coach this cycle. Please go look at ASU’s rankings this year. For an offensive guru, his team has a dogshit offense.

Kiffin is in a league of his own as far as drama is concerned.

Can you list the Kiffin created drama involved with this search?

They did beat Texas Tech this year...and Texas Tech will be in the playoffs.

The problem in college football is a ton of coaches are getting their shots before they legitimately prove themselves because so many teams are desperate.

The biggest name to me to come out of those ranks was Meyer, but the guy killed it at Bowling Green and then took Utah to um own heights pre Pac12. He was more proven than 95%+ of the current guys being brought up.

Dillingham is good but needs to prove himself more. We have seen multiple places where the guy showed flashes like Dillingham, then when he doesn’t get a job up the fizzle out and prove it was a fluke.

Let these coaches prove themselves not to be flukes before you invest $50 million plus into them.

And Florida state beat bama this year…and bama will be in the playoffs. Should we hire Norvell?

That's valid. But I'm not saying you hire him based off one win against Texas Tech, my point is I don't think he's had just one fluke season of success.

He's got ASU to the point where they are consistently competitive against more talented programs.

I understand your stance but I don’t think there’s any world in which a coach that has his team ranked 77th in points per game against B12 defenses should be considered for a job at LSU.

Calling kiffin Vitello isn’t the knock you think it is. Vitello would have been just as great here

Vitello has a natty, Lane doesn’t even have a conference championship.

He's not leaving his Alma Mater where he's publicly said is his dream job. How many times does this have to be repeating? It's exhausting

You really think in today's landscape a 35 year old coach is going to spend his entire career in one place lmao

Maybe he doesn't want to leave yet, but he will eventually

Vitello would have been amazing here also. He is just a bit (or giant) of a douche
As an avid baseball follower, he’s not as bad as he used to be / people think he is. Both him and Kiffin matured greatly these past few years.

We also regularly see guys like Dillingham get the job, everyone thinks he’s the next great one, and ends up fired after 3 years. It’s always a dice roll.
Give me the guy who has proven he can win in the SEC and still feels like he is getting better.

Plus he seems much more loyal than Kiffin.

Yet you think we would leave his alma mater just like that? Lol
