I mean it says A LOT that in the middle of Ole Miss’ playoff run and possible title contention Lane will not do away with this shite show of a distraction and nip it in the butt. Literally any other coach would have put it to rest and he can’t even commit to Ole Miss past this season besides “live in the moment.”

He originally said he was open to agreeing to a lesser lump sum amount but then he went on and sued for the full amount.
He was never owed $54 million in a lump sum nor will he ever get $54 million in a lump sum.
Receiving a lump sum up front and not having to subtract whatever a potential future team will pay him to coach will never equal the amount of the monthly payments.
Let me know if I dumbed it down enough for you or if you need me to bring it down lower to more of a crayon munching level for you and your sister wife.

The one comforting thing is that our AD has been in contact with Sumrall and he has been told Sumrall prefers to be in Oxford over Auburn. Which is why there hasn’t been much movement or talk on that front
