The Mara family is already pursuing Kiffin. His dad Monte was a huge NFL DC. Lane is still butt hurt from being fired by the Raiders. He wants one more shot at the NFL.

LSU is actually in pretty good shape for an incoming coach. Lots of talent there that has bad coaches. Just like any team it will require some key player additions in the off season.
I am more concerned with Kiffin that he would bring Pete Golding with him. I have not been sold on him as DC over Baker.
