If VT opens up I'd love to see what he can do there. Let's see if he can consistently compete in the ACC for 4-5 years before making jump up to a LSU, Bana, etc...

This is my pick.

If we're getting killed with title ix and I is out recruiting will fall apart anyway so might as well get a guy who knows how to come in clean house and rebuild it how he wants.

My only concern with him is recruiting. Would need someone with Louisiana connections to be the recruiting coordinator probably.

I say Lane Kiffin. I’ve watched a lot of Ole Miss this year and it is so damn impressive on offense. I’d love to see Myles in that offense

I would be curious to know if his habit of trolling for college girls would go over well if we are in title IX troubles.

We are 4 pages deep and I don’t see Jimbo Fisher, did I miss that?

He has no buyout at A&M, he has deep ties with LSU and Woodward obviously, etc. Just odd that he’s not being mentioned because I’d about guarantee SW would give him a look

I would add Bill Clark to the list. Obviously wouldn't be the first option but he is still a great coach and has done a wonderful job with all the crap he had to deal with the program being shut down and then brought back.

Past his prime coaching years and will never beat Saban.

I can't think of one example of a guy sucking arse at a power 5 school and somehow turning it around at another school. I'm talking about a guy that hasn't had success, not a guy like Mack Brown who got stale. I'm wanting an example of just ONE guy who never experienced success and stunk it up at a power 5 only to turn it around at another power 5. Ask the Gamecocks how Will Muschamp worked out for them.

Lol you do realize Herman has a better record at Texas than Saban had at Michigan State right?

How much you planning on offering Jimbo? Word on the street is he has a pretty big contract

Good list.

I think my Top 4 or 5 would be -

PJ Fleck
Luke Fickell
Matt Campbell
Billy Napier

In no particular order. If we end up in a coaching search, I think we'll be ok... if we're able to keep the check books and pay top dollar.

Id say since LSU is spending over $7.5M on their HC and OCs that they could afford Jimbo, who effectively is both positions.

Do you think we paid Woodward a lot more than A&M? Maybe these guys just see a greater opportunity at LSU. After all, we’ve had 3 different coaches win Nattys in the last 17 years. When’s the last one the Aggies have won? I’d have to imagine Jimbo wants to do more than just get rich

Y’all are delusional about LSU. Why would Jimbo leave a program that has money and isn’t on probation and is tending up for a dumpster fire?

So you’re gonna buy out Orgeron and staff for whatever, 20-25 million, then fully guarantee Jimbo 60+ mil plus his new staff salaries (ours is just over $7m right now for the on field staff at least). I know your AD has money but seems like a big ask right now.

Needs to be one of those 4 and most likely would be Napier and I am good with that

Napier!

But I’d be thrilled with any of those 4.

From an outsider perspective Napier seems like a good get, easy transition, and he's not too hot such that he wouldn't jump at the job.

Campbell, on the other hand, may pass on LSU even though it would certainly get his attention in normal circumstances I think. Just too many other options available.
