My son (for those who don't know, he had offers before a severe career-ending concussion) played with one of the kids Lane has been recruiting. My wife coached him in track. I asked his dad tonight and was told that recruits are being left in the dark. There's been nothing from anyone in the OP program this week. The players and other recruits he's connected with are not happy with how they've also been left in the dark. Because of how this week played out, playing for Lane/OP is a non-starter now.
Don't be surprised if Lane doesn't bring many of his '26 commits. The damage may reach to the '27 class. The gain for LSU the next two years will be from the portal. Whoever OP hires is going to have to fight to keep guys.
