I don't see how you can blame Golden for Miami's recruiting right now. It's not just the small classes or the fact that they've been struggling. The uncertainty regarding with NCAA issues has to be absolutely killing them right now. As long as the investigation continues on, they really have no shot at improving things.

Because he's a gaytor fan. He's obviously biased by his hatred for his rival as was already pointed out in this thread.
His first argument was Golden is a terrible recruiter. Based on...class size? Then he comes back with "Uh, well...they should be number one if they had that many kids."
Then he says "Oh, well, you know...I've got a lot of Miami fans as friends and they agree with me. So...um...I'm right. Golden sucks."
Then I swore he said, "Uh, Golden stinks. Yeah! Also, I wear jorts and drink natty ice."

Im not jumping in with the gators here but I said earlier that im not sold on Golden being able to recruit at UT

So based solely on the quality of his recruits, espn has them ranked at 22?

When about 10 days ago half this board thought we were getting the death penalty?
This is also after a year that espn predicted us to go 4 wins.
Bottom line, Golden has done well down here so far. He has set himself up to have a good team next year and build on some momentum.
We have 20/22 starters returning. 31 of our returning players started a game next year.
We are returning one of the most explosive freshmen college football players. We had a top ten recruiting class last year and will have a solid recruiting class this year.

Yea, at Miami, that is terrible. He could travel within 30 miles of Miami and bring in the 22nd rated class every year.

If Golden can recruit to Temple and make Temple a winner, he can recruit anywhere and make anyone a winner. Temple was kicked out of the Big East because the sucked so bad at football. Get that, the suck arse Big East kicked them out because they were that bad.
Golden should be on anyone's short list.

I did not say that he should be. I just think the meltdown some UT fans are having about him is stupid. I think the guy would be a great hire for anyone.

In order for that to work, Golden would have had to make a statement about declining the job for someone to quote.
