Well if the so-called best candidate is Foreman, then race is not a problem huh.

Oh great LSU is going the race route instead of best candidate then? If that happens it will make it easy for me to NGAF.

Must really hurt your feelings that you have to root for a team full of black people every year.

Not a bad list but I wouldn't be okay with Richard on there. Last year if you asked me I'd probably be okay with it but not know. He doesn't seem to fit our culture of what we want. Acts like his shite doesn't stink either. Not just that he's running a lot of zone in his scheme and that definitely does not work for LSU's secondary. A lot harder for a younger DB to run zone than man. Not just that I'm not sure this team fits a 4-3 even after the incoming freshman class.

Too many striking similarities of him sitting out a year like that bum Linehan. Situation here is he's cocky and thinks he's better than he is. Don't know if that would work here tbh. Seems more like a courtesy interview. Didn't he basically tell LSU thanks but no thanks last year now he's okay? He didn't want to recruit either if I remember right. Not liking the vibes with that dude.

Some here consider TBL to have an inside track at LSU. He stated that he expected the DC hire to be a minority, so I guess there are a couple of names on that list you can scratch if true. Not sure of TBL’s connection legitimacy, but others here may know.

It sounded like he knew that was a priority in a candidate but that isn’t for sure. If no hood minority candidates are possible it won’t happen.

Won’t be Odom but it’s nice to have a division rival hyping up our DC.

I don’t care if he created a cure for diabetes. All that matters is whether he will be a good coach/recruiter.

Raymond is both of those things. All I asked was would he coach DBs or just DC.

I think Odom would be further down the list. I know he's loyal but I think he'd bolt at the chance with a way more talented defense and much higher pay unless Ar-Kansas was willing to match. That's not a lateral move for him it's a big upgrade in talent and pay.

Richard would be one of the worst choices we could possibly make. shite, if that's what our choice is going to be we may as well have brought Pelini back, and he fricking stunk up the place.

Screw Richard we don't need that garbage here, why not Nielsen, Brad White, or David Reeves??

If O makes a hire like Richard he will be on the train out of town with him by next season.

Haha.

And be fired a year or two when Coach O is gone.

He'd get guaranteed money. Why would he care? I don't think Odom is that crazy. He's a good DC but I doubt he's at the top of their list. He works the most with little talent and he'd probably stick around for a long time so O wouldn't have to worry about him bolting somewhere else anytime soon.

You act like just coaching at Arkansas isn't unstable as it gets. He could be fired tomorrow. Your program hasn't done shite. At least over here he has fertile recruiting beds, better resources at his disposal from the program, way more pay, and obviously more talent. Didn't stop Aranda from taking the job here when Miles head was on the chopping block.

If he wants to seriously move back up anytime soon LSU is the better opportunity and any logical coach knows this. If he's a good DC LSU is not purging him on the next coaching job unless the new HC wants someone different for whatever reason. Aranda stayed here when Miles got the ax. At worst he'll be paid guaranteed money that will be more than Arkansas pays for sure.
