BTW that phrase started over Bo tossing the Basketball coach about to leave for another program in late 80s. "A Michigan man will coach Michigan".

Which is ironic as hell seeing as he was firing a Michigan grad (Bill Freider) to promote and ultimately hire an outsider (Steve Fisher).

i agree with this, though i talk to patterson and peterson in between mullen and bo.

mullen would be the ideal fit imo.

I agree that the interview is condemning. I'm not saying no way he leaves. But this trying to jump on every little tidbit that is tweeted by some hack trying to break the scoop is just crazy. How many teams did Jim Harbaugh come to terms with last week?

I never claimed any relevance. I have no idea what he's gonna do, or what Michigan is gonna offer. You don't either. I'm no more or less irrelevant than you in this.

I like RR as an O-coordinator, but his ego is too huge to take a job like that.

He'll end up at Clemson at some point IMO.

Mullen would be a great hire if it came down to that, I think a lot of people would be happy with him.

Les will not rule out anything. Why should he, he can use the Michigan interest to get more out of LSU. Joe Alleva wasn't exactly showing strong support for Miles after the Tenn game. Miles holds all the cards now. He would be foolish not to play them.

On the other hand, I don't think Michigan is a good job right now. And I don't think the support for him is strong there.

My swag, 60% chance Miles stays. His contract will be fattened. Possible problem, Alleva does not show Miles the love. Does not offer appropriate $$ and extension.

there is no way in hell lester is actually sitting for an "interview", i'm fairly certain that means contract negotiation. why would les who is a fairly confident man agree to be interviewed? not a chance in hell....

especially when you can get him at 3m/year. He can get rid of GC and promote Gonzales...so much cheaper than paying Miles

His personnel are better suited for the B East than the B10 or SEC.

So, hell no.

I guess it was on ESPN that they were saying Rick Rod was going to sit out a year to lick his wounds but if he got an offer from LSU, he could change his mind.

I'd be concerned about who his defensive coordinator would be.
