Surprising because OM has alums that make serious bank.

Eh. Not really comparatively. They are actually pretty poor compared to the big dogs of other SEC schools.

Has zero effect on LSU. We have a far superior coach and better recruits.

This.

He’s funny, and I like him. But I would t want him running my program.

Kiffin may go to Aubarn but he would also 100% leave and go to Bama a few years later for the troll factor/shits and giggles

Coaches don't leave Auburn.

Everything is relative.

He just coached Ole Miss to its first ever 10 win regular season record and it looks like he’s about to do it again.

A Kiffin coached Ole Miss is more likely to be successful than the program is without him.

Ole miss simply cannot match what other schools can do in the current environment

Heck, for that matter, neither can lsu, alabama, Arkansas, auburn etc

At the end of the day most Ole Miss fans knew that we were a bridge job for him. I’ve enjoyed having him as a coach and would love to see him stay but the drama every year does get tiring. If he leaves to coach elsewhere I’m not gonna lose much sleep over it. What will ultimately piss me off is when he plunders our roster and takes all of the good players with him. Being able to not only leave for a new job but sabotage your future competition on your way out… well I guess that is college football these days.

Que?

Please explain.

Alabama and LSU are projected to finish top 3 in recruiting this year.

Maybe you’re not aware, but most schools now have collectives in place and are on equal footing with each another.

Moreover, A&M’s super class was a one year occurrence that will likely never happen again and has resulted in a complete failure.

What? What you mean by that? LSU is supposed to be able to beat anyone in the SEC! More competition from Lane Kiffin at Auburn than at Ole Miss. Is that what you are saying?

Actually pumped about this.

Kiffin has always been overrated.

How so when he never was at a place where the roster is equal to LSU and other top programs. I know Texas A&M faltered this year after having a great signing last year. Still can correct it with right quarterback and OL improves next year. Ole Miss will have a hard time to compete with NIL along with MSU and some others. That is going to be tough in a couple of years. Landscape will be very different in the SEC.

Kiffin leaving would be devastating for Ole Miss. schematically he’s a good coach and seems to be a good evaluation guy as well.

He’s a dangerous coach.

Now he won’t beat the Brian Kelly’s and Nick Saban’s very often but he’s a damn good coach nonetheless

So, are you saying Kiffin at Auburn won't make it easier to beat Alabama and LSU than Kiffin at Ole Miss? Gotcha

Brian Kelly with equal talents went 4-1 against Kiffin. I didn't get that part correctly. Can you verify that for me?

I like Kiffin as an offensive coach...but giving him a blank check to go and buy guys sounds like a recipe for a chaotic locker room.

but hey if it puts a dent in the Bama/UGA recruiting machines, I'm all for it.

Also, Auburn will be able to play much better when facing LSU with equal talents or better.

Chaotic locker room? I actually think Lane is the best coach for the contemporary college football player. Older folks like Lane and so do the kids.

I hope people don't think Lane had equal talent at USC when he faced Brian Kelly. Don't forget USC was decimated by scholarship restrictions when Lane was at USC.
