Yea it’s really telling that he’s ok with having the staff come coach them so long as it’s not Lane himself. Doesn’t look petty at all lol

I’m sure the assistants can’t “try to recruit players” while they’re there or anything either.

Carter is a dumbass and OM should be embarrassed

Oh baby

The melt when Kiffin goes and poaches him in a year or 2 is going to be fantastic.

Sounds a lot like when O and LSU were trying to recreate the Joe Brady offense but failed miserably

Sounds like a really good, smart hire.

Absolutely. Keep everything as close to what it’s been as possible. Lane ran an elite program whether they want to admit it or not

Are you claiming that Ole Miss is saying this?

Poor rebels. This ends their fantasy that Weis and the rest were leaving LSU to go back to Ole Miss for good.

I think this guy is better than Weis, tbh. It doesn't matter though, we have Lane and it's his offense.

Ole Miss people loathed Weis' playcalling over the years and they could tell when Lane took playcalling duties back over.

Lane being classless by complimenting the hire. What a POS.

Yea but Lane didn’t have much to do with y’all’s success so I wouldn’t put much value into his opinion on coaches amirite?

Lane is an elite gameplanner when he's locked in and has a great feel for the game as it develops. I've never said otherwise.

Has it been 100 days?

How is this a melt if we're calling it a good hire tho

As odd as it sounds, I think he’s happy to be at LSU but he really does love/appreciate Oxford and Ole Miss. I really don’t think he wants there to be any bad blood between him and the university and community.

Time heals but it’s going to be a minute

I think he just wanted to take what he percieved as a better job.

I don't think he was ever trying to intentionally frick Ole Miss.

The logical side of me agrees.

The emotional side of me says he’s a narcissist POS who only looks out for himself and every decision is calculated.

Logic wins out in the end as time passes.
