My entire in law family is ole miss / state fans. The seriously do not understand that they are a 2nd/3rd tier school

They had a chance to do something in the playoffs but OM admin wanting to get Lane out so fast probably ruined any chances they had.

I'd put Ole Miss as Tier 2.
They have enough money and in-state talent to make a run and can definitely play spoiler, but they won't compete from year to year.
Miss. St. is more Tier 3. They will surprise someone every now and then, but won't compete more than once a decade.

Terrible situation to be in, but it’s obvious for future teams in this situation to allow your coach to keep coaching. It sucks, but until they change the calendar you’re only hurting yourself.
