Why do they need to pay an OC that much with Freshwater at the helm?

Yes this definitely should appease recruits “yeah we lost him but did you see we tried to make him a fair offer ? “

It goes something like this, “we wanted him to stay. We still have the true genius behind our offense. We will get you another play caller.”

Isn't it funny how all of Lane Kiffen OCs suddenly become "up and comers" (Briles, Lebby).

Wonder what the common denominator is.
you trying to attach Briles abilities to kiffin when his dad is a legit elite offensive guru?

Seriously? Kendall was calling plays at Baylor the last year there and has been a commodity at OC since. Lebby is also tied to Briles.

It's almost as if it's being treated as big business.

And when did this trend of astronomical salaries start? Was it Jimbo to aTm or prior?

Lebby is married to Kendal’s sister.

When you're rolling in money it don't matter how you spend it if you win and got your guy. You'll never be anything but a doormat in the SEC until you start spending. Great season this year but you still didn't get anywhere.

He is nothing more than a play caller. Facts.

It’s called capitalism. College football is generating more money. Pay the people that make the product great or go be a socialist

If it’s Lebby plus Briles in the shadows that’s a good deal

And Kiffen was winning a ring at Bama as a play caller.

He doesn't need them as bad as people want to think.

Geez, it wasn't that long ago that $2m per year was what the top tier HEAD coaches were making.

For coordinators? Prior. LSU was paying stupid money for Aranda before Jimbo was hired at A&M.

This.

He was the OC of a national title team that also happens to be the greatest dynasty of all time.

People act like when he became the HC he suddenly forgot how to be an OC.

Ole Miss will be just fine without Jeff Lebby
