Ole Miss is just making this so much worse for themselves. Getting dumped for way prettier girl is one thing but then telling your best friends to frick off because they knew is something else.
I can't stop watching....

Runts!
“OXFORD, Miss. (AP) Former Nebraska player Trev Alberts made the comment on the air
after Ole Miss lost to LSU 17-14 on Saturday.
Alberts, who grew up on a farm, said in every litter of pigs here is a runt and no matter how much you try to help the runt row, it will still be a runt.
He said Ole Miss will always be a runt.
Rebels coach David Cutcliffe said Monday that his players were ware of the comment.”

Yep. I imagine that’s the reason for the delay

Lane is acting the fool. Good lord dude. U leaving. Leave. frick. They don't want u coaching the team. I wouldn't want Bama's coach, coaching Lsu. Their AD too. Hes a fool. They waited and waited til the last second to make a decision. Move on with your life. Let's go

Not helping at all.
They won’t have a staff for the playoffs.
And are they going to kick them to the curb later when the new coach wants to bring in his own staff?

Did Trinidad put in his request for another year yet?

Ole Miss has a lot of pride for a program that has so little to be historically proud of.

Again, can anyone provide one solid reason why Ole Miss should let any of this continue when Lane is clearly headed to LSU ASAP?
He made his choice, it is what it is, Ole Miss now needs to think about the next chapter for their football program just like Lane needs to focus on his next chapter.
Anyone thinking that it’s a reasonable stance to let him linger around the program for another month fostering a highly toxic environment simply isn’t arguing in good faith.
Zero (and I mean 0) chance any Bama, LSU, Texas, A&M, Florida, Georgia, VOLS, or Auburn fans would be in favor of an outgoing coach continuing to hang around the program while he gets all his ducks in a row at his new job, which just so happens to be one of your biggest rivals. Ole Miss shouldn’t be expected to make an exception because they are a historically more irrelevant program.

Pissing away a college playoff run because, the boosters feelings are hurt. The definition of entitled bi*ches.

It would be no different than teams keeping a lame duck coach that everyone knows is getting fired at the end of the year.
This will probably be OM’s only chance ever at a championship, if I were in their shoes I absolutely would let him coach knowing I will likely never have the chance again
