Jimbo is a fantastic recruiter but nobody is going to have trouble keeping LSU's cupboard full. The university can actually recruit itself in many ways which is why no coach really has problems keeping top 5 classes here.

We need young innovative minds here. Not dinosaurs. I want someone who will establish his own identity and possibly build his own new culture for the program moving forward.

What?! O and Miles won a NC at LSU. Jimbo can coach circles around those two. He can win here.

There is no one like this who has proven themselves by winning big over an extended period of time. So you’re ok rolling the dice. That’s not the Woodward way.

This is said constantly but realistically O was the luckiest mofo in the history of the sport unquestionable. I'm not sure even Jimbo if he was hired here instead of O would have a NC by now because he's highly unlikely he would've ever touched Brady with his own offensive philosophy. He probably never would've sniffed Burrow either. Use your common sense. Miles also got super lucky and hit lightning in a bottle with his personnel management which ran circles around O.

Agreed. His offense hasn't aged well, that's for sure.

I’m just going to put this out there….: Sumlin had no buyout either…. The precedent was set… has nothing to do with LSU

He has absolutely no buyout. Given to him, by the guy who is about to relocate him. The AD can now offer him more money, compared to all those other Bozos, because you don't have to write their University a check, too.

Think on that, for the next month.

Look at that roster he’s built at A&M

I’ll take that roster over ours all day

Imagine the recruits he could bring in here

The roster is great. He should be putting rosters together like that with texas recruits.

His offense is stale and isn't going to win a championship.

I don't think Jimbo is high on LSU's list. I'm pretty sure neither Woody or the boosters are impressed with him at this point. He may be on their list but not a 1,2,3 type of list...

Doesn't he make 9 or 9.5 now?

$7.5M. The higher salary does not kick in until next year.

Whether he gets it at LSU or A&M, why would he care?

I never claimed to know who the hire is dumbass. It's hard to believe they'd make an aggressive move on Jimbo at this point considering what he has accomplished in the SEC. He has 1 good season that's it and it was a shitty Covid down year in the SEC. Mond somehow robbed a team of a third-round pick too because anyone who watched that guy knew he wasn't a good QB. He was so streaky he'd go from absolute shite tier to where was this guy last saturday which seemed like a theme for him every week.

I'd go to the NFL for Rhule but he may be unrealistic. That's my favorite pick right now. NFL has a few young guys I'd look at but they're not realistic. NCAA Riley would be my #1 who is also probably not realistic. I'd give CUM a call to see if he wanted to go back to college but he's a risk of being burned out. He's not young but he'd win us championships. I have a hard time believing he'd damage his legacy by being burned out. Freeze is another good call that will never happen.
