Money is all I can imagine it would be. Willy was one of the lowest paid DC in the league and you would have to think Shannon would want around or above a million/year at least. That's a pretty drastic jump in pay and some might not have wanted to open up the purse strings.

If we want to win the national championship we are going to have to spend like we have never spent before. We need a DC that can recruit and teach at a high level.

No, we paid Reggie Herring quite a bit back in the day...I read it had to do with baggage but then they quickly deleted it. I have no idea to be honest but had nothing to do with money supposedly.

I used to work with Matt Turner. One of his major sources is Nolan Richardson. Yes, that Nolan Richardson.
I kinda think Nolan feeds him some bullshite sometimes to see if Knwa will run with it. Like when MA got hired, Nolan told Matt when the plane would be landing, so they sent a crew out there to try and get an interview with Anderson.
But when they pulled up to Drake Field, Anderson was already in a limo headed home.

I'm hoping they're just talking to Nix about replacing Johnson as LB coach. I'd LOVE him as a position coach. Just not as DC.

Not sure on this one, but it just goes to show that not all sources can be trusted. After all, they're supposed to be anonymous so they don't care about a reporter's credibility. They could just be bored sitting there thinking 'Hey, what if I started a Ty Nix rumor?! That would really piss some people off.'

It is quite possible Shannon is expected to be sanctioned along with the Miami program for what occurred, this means the NCAA has to or may not have signed off on his being hired by the YouofA...

Yes.
Mike Irwin will not report shite unless it is confirmed by 2-3 different sources, KNWA takes one source and runs with it, even if the source is obviously trolling them...
