He said WHEN .. not IF..
It is about 10:30 Eastern and not a peep.
Maybe he’s not the informed insider he thought he was … or pretended to be.
Or maybe, the “insiders” only know what Kiffin and Sexton want them (and the folks on the other side of the negotiating table) to know, which is probably not very meaningful info.
Texas and Bama are both in play still. Florida may be also. Not to mention the NFL.

I want to believe.....just the longer this goes on the more likely he stays. See Les in 2015 A&M game.

This is nothing like the Les situation in 2015

Totally different situations.
2015 was a spineless AD contemplating Miles’ termination.
This is a coach who clearly wants to leave OM but wants to coach his team through the regular season and his current school overplaying a very weak hand.

Ole Miss’ AD was pretty confident that no announcement would be made until after the Egg Bowl. Meaning he and Lane made an agreement to keep everything on the hush this week before Lane bolts this coming weekend.

Ole Miss can still make the SEC championship - this could get even more fun

This trope is fricking retarded.

Ya the hate for LSU and Lane if he comes is gonna be glorious especially when he's lifting trophies

There's not even a smart part of me that believes Lane Kiffin's coming to LSU. It just doesn't seem to me like something that would happen. I try and picture it and I can't.

Like I said, what we paid Nick at the time sent shockwaves through the country the only coaches making that then were Bowden, spurrier, and stoops.
This seems to be a similar investment just in 2025 dollars.
LSU seems to be tired of fricking around, rebuild the fence before A&M starts to invade

When LSU hired Nick Saban, they made him the 3rd highest paid coach in college football behind Steve Spurrier and Bobby Bowden. Guess what? He hadn’t won anything at the time. If you think you have your guy, you pay whatever it takes to get him.

How'd that work out for TAMU?
