I was responding to DrunkenTiger's post that LSU's revenue has increased every year under Les Miles. He also stated that it was silly to think that the BOS was upset with Les, considering the first fact.
So I was just asking if the only way for the BOS to turn against Les was if LSU football wasn't making as much money anymore?

I'm a Jindal guy....but does anyone realize who the current members of the LSU BOS and why they are there? I don't know much about most of them, but it does seem most were put on there by Jindal to get the hospital deal completed. With that being said, most probably could give two shits about athletics. The person who should be pulling the strings is Alexander a la Emmert. He should be smart enough to realize the key to raising money in the south is successful athletic programs.

Blanco and Jindal alienated some BOS members over this last decade with their strong-arm moves aimed towards their agendas, and/or hooking their peeps up with gigs.
Very costly to alienate some BOS members into taking their ball and going home. Some are worth obscene money(aka donations)..
Still, much better than thirty years ago, when BOS was a conflict-of-interest cookie jar filled with members doing monster business all over campus.

I'm OK with Smart if he's the guy and don't expect a pure 3-4 if hes the guy. Bama doesn't run a true 3-4. Its just their base. They run more 4 man fronts than 3.
The only issue and the reason I think at least part of this is wrong is the HCIW title. You can't make that title official in writing anymore. Not if you're smart at all and have common sense. As the poster earlier said, there are major restrictions on HCIWs. They have the exact same restrictions as the HC meaning only 1 visit and more limited contact. A guy like Smart has to have full access to recruits. Its the best part of his resume. The guy is a great recruiter and would instantly make us a factor in GA. With TAM gaining better traction in TX and Texas always being a factor, GA is a place wed be smart to get more involved in.

Well I don't remember the exact game but Les Miles looked ready to get rid of him on the sideline as he is speaking in miles ear about what ever, Miles just looked at him like "stfu"!!! If I were Les I would have been so tired of that guy in my ear all the damn time. Let him go and hire coach O.
