I just have to point something out here. One of the biggest differences between bama fans and LSU fans (and there are many) is that when Saban was at LSU all the Tiger fans expected him to do his normal and cut out sooner or later. Bama fans are absolutely convinced Saban would never leave them.
Why? Because he is so enamored with living in a strip mall with a college out back he can't leave Tuscaloosa? Because a man of his humility is truly honored to play second fiddle to a coach who has been dead over 30 years? Because in spite of the fact that every college has tradition a West Virginia native who went to Kent State in Ohio just loves Bama tradition more? Are you Bama people all completely insane?
Saban doesn't care about you, your school, your state, your fans, your dozens of made up championships, Bear Bryant, any of it. Saban only cares about Saban. And he will do whatever most appeals to his massive ego. Wake up, gumps. Talk about massive, and massively misguided ego.

You're complaining a massively egotistic fanbase doesn't see that it's current coach has a massive ego.
Hell son, why do you think we hired him in the first place? He fits right in.

Complete BS. LSU fans thought he adored and would never leave LSU until the day he left. Your fans were so arrogant about his undying love of Baton Rouge that many of you are convinced he was begging to come back to LSU after his first year at Alabama. On the other hand, I see MANY MANY Bama fans who admit it is only a matter of time before Saban leaves shortly for Texas or for retirement.

Better than living in the oil refinery/chemical plant choked environmental disaster know as cancer alley in South Louisiana. Ironic that you bring up a strip mall as by many of your own fans admission it was an LSU grad who got Saban mired in debt with Perkins Row in Baton Rouge. If he didn't despise you ingrates before, he definitely does now. No wonder he was so desperate to get away from there.

FTR, I think Saban takes the Texas job for reasons that have very little to do with Alabama. If the rumors of bad debt are true, he apparently has Texas boosters that will get him out of the hole his LSU partner got him into and he wants to win a title at a 3rd different school. Alabama fans will be sad and a few will melt down but most will show him much more appreciation than the ingrates at LSU did.

Saban just agreed to a new contract with Bama, anyway, and just recently quoted as saying he regretted the way he handled leaving his last employer - the hit it took on his credibility, etc. - and that he's not making the same mistake again. He's staying at Bama. So I'm not sure why the LSU and UT fans are continuing this circle jerk. Oh well, actually I know why.
And to anyone who keeps repeating this internet fodder that he'll be able to win natty at 3 different schools...sure, that would be easy for him at UT. The real challenge is for him to win 3 more at Bama and have 7 total (or 4 more at Bama to have 7 @ Bama + 1 @ LSU). Either way you slice it, beats the Bear. A much bigger accomplishment, and much more satisfying for someone as driven as he is.
