Can you give examples of what he's done at LSU that's been arse? His only 2 hires so far at LSU appear to bed good ones.

If all of that is true, he f$&ked this up royally. He wanted his legacy to be on this hire, the only problem is, it might be a bad one, we’ll see in due time. Hopefully he can close this out right and that may not even mean with a splash hire/ white whale at this point. He better be full court pressing Dabo, Aranda and Fickell.

The truth is it's hard to keep your job in Baton Rouge. I think it's the Nick Saban curse. He set the standard and rewrote the book on standards at Bama. We are chasing.

I think there is more to the O story. That and he wasn't a very good coach. He was blessed with a great defensive mastermind in Aranda and lighting struck in a bottle with Brady.

If you consider when we fired Miles people were not lining up to come here. I think O was our 4th or 5th choice.

#1 it's the SEC. #2 its the SEC West (arguably most difficult division of the most difficult conference in the country). Add to that you play Bama every year and are expected to compete.

We have the talent to play with anyone but we have not had the right person in charge. Personally I think Riley would have been a terrific hire. Aranada I'm less excited about. After that no one really gets me fired up. We may need to take a flyer when we really can't afford to take a flyer.

With SEC expansion we will likely not be in the same division as Bama in a couple of years.

At this point, you have to think that while LSU is willing to pay the salaries, pay the coaches, has the facilities and the recruiting base, there are headwinds coming from somewhere.

William Tate’s office maybe?

Yet another opinion based on innuendo and published as news.

Tate was at South Carolina the last time we had to settle for our 8th choice after searching for a coach for 6 months.

it would not be shocking at all for Woodward to make one more run at the former LSU offensive coordinator, to offer him an eye-popping contract and say, as someone told me, “Please come back and help me.”

good God if that's the case, if we have sunk that low, it is time to just call up Orgeron and see if he will come back. "please come back and help me Coach O, I am so so so very sorry, my deepest apologies"

No amount of credible information from actual journalists will shake their religious faith in Woodward. It's an object lesson in cognitive dissonance and confirmation bias.
I get the argument but with THIS situation you have to ask yourself..."why would a journalist gave any more real data than anyone else?"

If SW is trying to keep something quite, the last person I would tell is rabalias

Could you imagine if the AD didn’t extend the guy who just had ‘the greatest season’ in college football history…?

I love how sports journalism is so irrelevant now. Rabalais is a dinosaur. Who reads articles anymore? If I was an insider! I’d lie my arse off to him just to embarrass him
