13-1 in the first year says otherwise.

But you are too stupid and Prideful to admit any of it because you got it out of Herman and refuse to back down for reasons I don't know.

The same can be said for every idiot Herman lover on this board. When I first started posting about him some of the losers said they would want Hermbob even if he lost every game the rest of the season. I laughed. Turns out the idiots weren't joking. I don't understand the support for the guy.

And all four of his losses came when his team was ranked and the other team wasn't. They were also to teams he was favored against. He wins the big games but loses the games he should win. Losing to SMU 38-16 is like LSU getting shutout 40-0 by Vandy.

O lost to Vandy 31-23 and then to Wyoming 24-14 the next week. He lost to Vandy again two years later 31-17. 0-8 that year in conference. 0-8. 0-8. But hey, he did beat Nortwestern State 38-31 that year.

Urban or Saban's wins and losses at Bowling Green, Toledo and Sparty

Do people really care about Urban's or Saban's wins or losses from that long ago? No, they care about both of them winning NC's the last few years and going to the playoffs again this year.

Herman lost three games this year he was favored to win. You don't make the playoffs by doing that.

Heaven forbid Herman wins a national title at Texas. I can imagine Ree yelling about Navy and SMU while being carried away in a strait jacket.

No but they sought advice on offensive innovations

Well I hope Saban called after that awesome 303 yard outburst against SMU. Will help LSU in the game next year.

How do you not understand the point I'm trying to make? At places like
Houston, Bowling Green and Toledo it's impossible to recruit the quality depth needed to simply just torch eneyone you play, even if you do technically have "more talent" than that team. You are greatly overestimating the talent disparity between a team like Houston and SMU and especially between a team like Houston and Navy or Memphis. If the only gripe that someone can dig up against Herman is that he lost to SMU, Navy and Memphis while at UH, then the guy must be pretty goddamn good

Good God you O pumpers are a special kind of stupid. Trash talking the accomplishments of coaches like Herman and Jimbo. O's resume can't even hold their jocks.

Well, one thing for sure, finishing fifth place in the American conference with the most talented team has no bearing on him possibly winning a NC at Texas. So you do have that to look forward to.

Come back and visit the LSU board sometimes and update us how your Longhorn team and coach are doing.

Well to be fair he did only beat Tulsa and UCF by 7 points each at home. He is an offensive genius though or they may have lost those games also.

But O is an offensive genius? His Ole Miss teams averaged 18.5 points per game. In conference, the average was 14.6. But let's criticize Herman for being weak offensively. In his losses he averaged 29.25 points. With an elite DC he would be great! But where can LSU find one of those?

Ah so now are you not only counting big wins over ranked teams in his favor, you're holding close wins against lesser teams against him. The lengths you'll go...

Tom Herman is the next Urban Meyer, maybe better

Houston rolled Florida state and Oklahoma and Louisville.

He won a national title at Ohio State

He turned Cardale Jones into a stud that destroyed Alabama

This. Tom Herman was the better hire than O period. If Texas doesn't fire Strong, he's LSU's new head coach. Coach O's SEC record when he was at Ole Miss was atrocious. Could he be a better coach after all these years later? Maybe. But don't tell me that coach O has anything close to as good as the resume that Herman does because he doesn't.

I feel like Ree has repeated this myth so much that people believe it's the truth.

When they lost to UConn in late November, they were #19 in the playoff rankings. They never had a prayer of finishing in the top 4.

Yeah Bc it didn't hit his depth chart until year 2. I said this already. He had more depth in year 1 than year 2. I happened to watch Houston the past two years and watched every game besides 2-3.
